- solid facts,

- good examples,

- helpful anecdotes (stories or accounts),

- insightful quotes (from experts),

- accepted definitions, and

- clear explanations.

Avoid broad or general information, opting instead of specific details.

Gather evidence for ALL points of view on your topic – pros and cons – not just your position. You’ll have to present them fairly in your logical argument, so get to know them well through research!
