    The banking is one of the most highly competitive sectors of India. With globalization,

    modernization and advancement of technology in banks stress has become unavoidable.

    Employees find it very difficult to cope with frequent change of jobs and roles becomes more

    stressed out. This research paper aimed at finding the underlying reason behind stress and how

    employee cope with daily stress. The banking like other services has become very competitive in

    India. The researchers chooses the topic as HR of banking should not find any problem in

    working and with much stress performance of employee decreases and in turn effect

    Organization. With increased competition employee stress increases. Every employee wants a

    luxurious life, high income and promotion which increases stress. The study was conducted

    among various nationalized bank of Indore with sample size 50. The research used percentage

    analysis to analyze and explain results and objective of research. The study found poor quality of

    work puts stress on them. The numbers were shocking with 50 % employee think they were

    overloaded and 44% feel stressed out for underperformance. 38% were ready to sacrifice daily

    household responsibility by obeying order of their boss while 24 % cited household problems for

    stress. Only 48% feel existing strategies of bank is useful. As majority of employee feel stressfulthe bank should try to eliminate stress so that employee can increase its productivity and

    efficiency. The bank can employ five days of work and arrange YOGA and meditation for its

    employee. In sum these positive steps taken by bank could reduce employee stress. The study

    has some serious limitation which has not been explored with sample size of 50 is quite small.

    The sample is based on Indore and for nationalized bank. The Employee were not eager to fill

    the questioner as they were very busy. The personal bias of e employee if bank cannot be ruled

    out.

    The study designed an effective stress management program for Northwestern University by

    highlighting the following problems like quantify the level of stress for Top management, middlemanagement and Rank and file. The study also related job position and stress level. The research

    employed descriptivecorrelation design. The sample size was 100 (70 faculty and 30 staff), 15

    deans and heads of various department and specifically 3 vice-president and staff for year 2007-

    2008. The primary source of gathering information was standard questioner distributed to the

    sample of 150 Rank and file, 15 middle level manager and 4 top level management. The Pearson

    r was used to link job stress to age, gender, income and number of family member. The

    parameters of job stress and job position was analyzed using chi square. Weighted mean was

    used to quantify level of stress. The research result gave Normal stress to top level employee

    strained stress to middle level manger and balance for support staffs. Finally the research pin

    pointed that age, gender, income and number of family member has not correlation to stress,however job stress has positive correlation to job position where middle level manager suffers

    The research concludes that middle level manager receive maximum stress as they have to

    maintain interaction between top level management and rank and file employee.

    The research identified multiple stress placed on Law Enforcement officer in todays society. In

    doing the daily duty officer and officers family faces stress related issues. The research paper

    encompassed the issue of how stress effects there close ones and family. The research used

    standards formats of paper, magazine and internet for reference. Research included that high

    percentage of police officer are divorced. Police officer are stress by many things like their

    bosses, colleague and citizen in large. Police officer are also stress by different factors like poor

    pay, erratic sleeping habits due to nature of the work and conflicts with family and friend. The

    research article proved that developing an education program and regular counseling will help to

    tone down stress. The research takes into standard that some amount of stress will be there but in

    reaching out to them with proper personal counseling stress can be reduced. The anonymity

    should be kept in counseling. The sample and conclusion is based Madison Heights Police

    Department. The study recommended these following things to remove or prevent stress like

    there is no punitive measures if a police seeks counselling, all information must remain

    classified, and there should be other ways to deal with circumstances.

    The research aimed at measuring work life stress and the student learning experience. The study

    was aimed in replicating a study done by Harper (1994). The original study coincided with some

    changes in the institution as the institution was awarded University status in 1992. The new study

    was used to measure the effect of stress on Scottish Higher Education Institute (SHEI). Since

    1994 the institution has embraced the practice of stress denouncing personal management

    program. The institute also got a structural change of relocation to several changes in others. All

    the departments were effected with this change to some extent. The system was changed as more

    emphasis was given to improve the quality of teaching by changing teaching system and

    procedure. Like online revisions and computer presentations. The previous methodology used

    was standard questioner which was given to members of academic staff (lecturer and senior

    lecturer in SHEI in 1994. The follow up research 2003 used the same questioners were used to

    cover background, attitude and support from colleague and perceived level of stress.Quantitivestechniques like frequencies cross tabulation and test of significance were used. On qualitative

    front content analysis was used. The finding of the study. The result showed that 76.6% of the

    respondent put undue pressure on themselves the majority of respondent suggested less stress

    due to organizational change in 1994 but still 55.7 % put stress to be considerable or extreme.

    The conclusion of the research was changes in SEI since 1994 were mildly beneficial

    nevertheless there was no room for compliancy in dealing with subject.

    In the 1990s India developed its capability as a major force in software engineering and IT/ITIS.

    Presently Indian information technology employs more than 1 million of employee and provide

    indirect employment to quarter million. Due to globalization the employee stress has magnified

    and in ages of cut throat completion is very difficult to eliminate stress from our life.

    Common stress symptoms are tension, irritability and inability to concrete. Stress is a condition

    when a person perceived that demand and supply exceeds personal and social resources. For

    example take the formula S= P>R i.e., stress occurs when the pressure exceeds the resources.

    Stress is our body's way of responding to any kind of demand. It can Journal of Information

    When people think that they are stressed by something going on around them, their bodies

    responds by releasing chemicals into the blood. These chemicals aids people more energy and

    will power, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger. But there are

    cons to it that, if their stress is in response to something emotional and there is no pathway for

    this extra energy and strength.

    According to Vasudha Venugopal, (2010), an large number of Software professionals have been

    finding it hard to handle emotional stress, according to experts. An occupational hazard,'the

    stress related to work needs to be addressed with priority. To live a life , adjusting to stress and

    striving for mental health welfare should considered for all and not stamped as a lifestyle

    problem of the IT industry. For example the Post-recession, employees feel pressured to perform

    well. Regular typical occupational problems such as wrist problems due to constant handling of

    the mouse, slip disc and eye fatigue are common now. But handling stress is linked to improved

    performance and confidence, but eventually, takes a major toll on his health. As if to

    acknowledge the prevalence of high levels of stress among employees, many software

    companies have special cells that provide counseling to their employees who face difficulty to

    cope with the environment. Companies are also trying to help employeescombat stress better.

    Companies such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant and Wipro have regular

    breaks intended to help the employees strike a good balance between professionalism and life.

    Stress has become more dominant due to social effects and life style changes. In order to adapt

    reactions to stress, physical mental and behavior changes occurs. Even though stress destroys

    brain cell, moderate amount of stress encourages ignites inspiration and latent talent capabilities.

    This study tries to capture silent problems by name of stress like divorce, harassment and onset

    of various diseases. The study focuses on stress faced by IT employees because highly focus

    targets and pressured results. The research also claims that stress can be beneficial andproductive. The sample size taken by survey is 200 IT employee in and around Hyderabad .Some

    of the methods recommend by program are stress management program, support organization

    and spiritual programs. The objective of the research was to study the stress on IT companies and

    locate effective stress control strategy. The results of study found stress effect on body, mind,

    behavior, and emotions. The study identified stress coping strategies at organizing level like

    stress management programs, physical activities, stress audit, life style modification prorgram,

    finding triggers and stressors, supportive organization, stress counseling program and spiritual

    programs. The study was limited to Hyderabad so its data cannot be extrapolated. Stress issue

    has become job hazards for IT personal which needs to be addressed with priority. Hence the

    need to address the issue is increasing and at organizational level TCS, Infosys and cognizant are

    implementing stress controlling program. Having more macroscopic vision of life and positives

    will help to reduce stress.
