“G” Team Goal● The goal of the “G” team is to
provide an equal opportunity for every student to learn and enhance the students’ ability to explore abstract concepts. The team will encourage self-motivation along with active engagement in learning in order to give them a state of independence.

Staying Current on your
Student’s Work● Check your student’s Schoology calendar● Check grades on Infinite Campus – linked through
Parent Portal● Checking teacher’s Schoology pages – linked
through DASD/Marsh Creek – password is your child’s log in
● If you are missing a password, contact the main office.
● When a student attends a lesson they need to check in with their teacher in the morning and check schoology for missed work.
● If absent for at least 3 days, contact the office for missing work
Ways to Make 6th Grade a Success
● Encourage your student to use Advisory to talk to a teacher, begin working on homework and organization.
● Hold your student accountable for themselves
● Encourage student independence (to a point)
● Prepare the night before school, i.e. study, packing up, etc.
Writing● The focus of my class will be on writing
and grammar.● Formal writing will follow the PA
Writing Rubric.● The MLA format will be used for all
formal writing pieces.● We will also follow the writing process
where they will peer edit in class their typed rough drafts.
● Grades will come from homework, tests, quizzes, and writing pieces.
