Earn your GED and Early Childhood Care and Education Basics certificate in one 14 week semester.Courses team-taught by Adult Education and Early Childhood Care and Education instructors.

Early Childhood Care and Education coursework:• Introduction to Early Childhood Care and Education – 3 credit hours• Child Growth and Development – 3 credit hours• Health, Safety, and Nutrition – 3 credit hours• Curriculum and Assessment – 3 credit hours• Early Child Care/Education Practicum – 3 credit hours

(minimum of 15 credit hours for certificate)

This certificate can open the way to additional Early Childhood Care and Education pathways such as:

• Child Development Specialist – 15 credit hours• Infant/Toddler Child Care Specialist – 15 credit hours• School Age and Youth Care – 18 credit hours

Basic shielded metal ArC Welding coursework:• Introduction to Welding Technology –3 credit hours• Oxyfuel Cutting – 3 credit hours• Basic Shielded Metal ARC Welding – 4 credit hours (minimum of 10 credit hours for certficate)
