BIOS Illuminated®BIOS SkyBlue® lighting solutions contribute to satisfying Circadian LightingDesign Feature 54 under WELL Building Standard v1 and Feature L03 under theWELL Building Standard v2.  BIOS SkyBlue also meets other features within theWELL Light Concept, including color quality with 83+ CRI and R9 values at 90,visual comfort metrics, and higher m/p ratios than traditional LED lighting.

STATIC LIGHT ENGINE – Option Codes 30KS, 35KS, 40KSBIOS SkyBlue Static Spectrum lighting solutions support proper daytime circadianstimulus, communicating directly with human circadian biology through a non-visual photo receptor in the eye.  With SkyBlue, there is no need for color tuning,color temperature adjustments or significantly increasing light levels.  Consider theStatic Spectrum Light Engine when the fixtures will illuminate spaces occupiedprimarily during the daytime hours.

DYNAMIC LIGHT ENGINE – Option Codes 30KD, 35KD, 40KDBIOS SkyBlue Dynamic Spectrum lighting solutions provide full daytime circadianstimulus, communicating directly with human circadian biology through a non-visual photo receptor in the eye.  With SkyBlue, there is no need for color tuning,color temperature adjustments, or extra illumination.  The SkyBlue Dynamic LightEngine automatically calibrates the light level, reducing melanopic lux whilekeeping photopic lux at a constant level when used in conjunction with properdimming controls.  Consider the Dynamic Spectrum Light Engine when the fixtureswill illuminate spaces occupied during both daytime and nighttime hours.

ArcX-N size codes are based on nominal radius or nominal diameter followed by aletter or number indicating the extent of the sweep of the radius. When the fixturesize allows, the "sweep" designation is called out as a letter indicating a full diameter(D), a 180˚ sweep (H), a 90˚ sweep (Q), a 45˚ sweep (E). All other sweepdesignations are called out in degrees followed by the letter "A" indicating an anglesuch as 15˚ (15A). Custom sized fixture may require custom nomenclature.

Not all radius fixtures can be constructed to specific angles without the introductionof unlit area in the fixture as dictated by the layout of LED boards. PMC uses LEDboards of varying sizes (5.5", 11" and 22" lengths) depending on fixture radius andlayout required for proper driver loading. This insures even illumination throughoutan assembled pattern regardless of fixture sizes required to build the specifiedpattern. Generally any unlit area would be limited to 5.5" or less. Unless otherwiserequested, as standard practice, fixture angles or sweep would be lowered whereverpossible to eliminate any unlit area on the direct side lens.

LUMEN DERATING CHART BYCOLOR TEMP AND CRI

The narrow profile of the ARCX-N models present some challenges when incorporating larger fixture components into acurved fixture.  The tightness of the radius play’s a large part in what can and cannot be done to fit larger componentintegral to the fixture.  Outside fixture radii down to 1’ 5-1/4” are possible but may require remote mounting of drivers, maylimit the availability of tunable solution such as our Aura Technology, may limit the use of our pur-led disinfectingtechnology, may require different size LED boards changing the radii available for a given angle of sweep (or angle of sweepfor a given radius).  Please consult the PMC factory with your requirements so that solutions for you ARCX-N needs may beworked out.
