LITTLE TOKYO APARTMENTS
SANTA ROSA PRIMARY SCHOOL HONDURAS
- High density housing project - 50 units - Little Tokyo, CA.- Apartment blocks are raised for a ground floor public space- Studio instructor: Christoph Kapeller
USC Global Architecture Brigades took part in a design competition for a primary school in the small community of Santa Rosa in Honduras. We went to Honduras in January 2011 to start construction on the chosen design.
It was extremely valuable hands on construction experience that cannot be taught in school. As a student, being a part of a project that actually gets built and helps a community is a rare opportunity.

- Canopy was built with donated cardboard tubes and binder clips
- Rethinking the idea of public gathering space in Los Angeles.
