Arcademics.com

Arcademics.com has a variety of games. Some are single-player, but a lot are multiplayer. Multiplayer can be public (anyone in the world can join) or private (only those that know the password can join).

This example will be Jet Ski Addition. Other multiplayer games may have 4, 8, or 12 players. The description will show how many. The setup is basically the same for each game.

First decide if you are going to create a game or join a game. In this example John will create the game and Kate will join.

Other educational sites advertise on arcademics.com. Be careful not to click on these. The menu at the top will allow you to find other games by grade or subject.

Creating a Private Game

Click Play.

Enter your Player Name. Use this naming style so others can recognize you. Partridge: Pt****** or Part**** Wood: Wd****** or Wood*** Thayer: Th****** or Thay**** So John is from Partridge and will use PartJohn as his name. The username is limited to 8 characters, and numbers can only be at the end of the username. Click Continue.

Click the Create Game button.

Select Private Game. Then click Create Game.

Enter a password for your game. Use tigers so others from your school can easily join. Click Create Game.

Wait for other players to join. When ready, click Start Game. You can change the color of your jet ski by clicking on it.

Here you see Kate has joined. Starting the game now will have John playing against Kate and two computer players.

Joining a Private Game

Click Play.

Enter your Player Name. Use this naming style so others can recognize you. Partridge: Pt****** or Part**** Wood: Wd****** or Wood*** Thayer: Th****** or Thay**** So Kate is from Partridge and will use PartKate as his name. The username is limited to 8 characters, and numbers can only be at the end of the username. Click Continue.

Click on the Private Game tab.

Find your friend’s game. John’s game is PartJohn’s Game. Click the JOIN button for this game.

Enter the password.

It should be tigers. Click Join Game.

Now, wait for the game to start. You will have a three-second countdown when the creator of the game starts the game.
