PlantExpansionandDevelopment

The Company expanded its production cap acity and diversified

its product range by producing motorcycle tires in 1971,

fo llowed by b ias tires for passenger and commercial ve hicles

in 1981 .In the early 90s, the Company started to produce

rad ial tires for passenger cars and light trucks.

The Company currently operates 5 modernized tires an d inner

tubes manufactu ring plan ts for many types an d sizes of radial,

bias and motorcycle tires, and 2 tire-related production facili ties

wh ich manufacture t ire cord and SBR (Styrene Butad ien e

Rubber). These five t ire p lan ts together w ith the tire cord plan t

are strategically located in Tangerang , about 30 kilometers

west of Jakarta ,Indonesia. The CompanysSBR plan t islocated

at the Chem icalIndustr ial park in Merak, Banten , about 90 km

west o f Jakarta.

In 2005 , the Company commenced an expansion program

a imed at increasing the installed capacit ies of rad ia l and

motorcycle t ires as well as motorcycle tubes at sites ad jacen t

to the current tire p lants.

Under this program , ra dial tire insta lled capa city w ill increase

from 30,000 pcs/day to 45,000 pcs/day . Th is expansion w il l

be done in three stages and is expected to be comp leted in

2010. Motorcycle tire installed capacity w il l increase from

37 ,000 pcs/da y in 2005 to 105 ,000 pcs/day at the beginning

of 2011, also in stages. Currently the motorcycle t ire cap acityruns at 45,000 pcs/day already.

memproduksi ban bias untukkendaraan berpenumpang serta

kendaraan niaga pada tahun 1981 .Pada awal tahun 1990an,

Perusahaan mulai memproduksi ban radial untuk kendaraan

berpenumpang dan truk ringan.

Saat iniPerusahaan mengoperasikan 5 pabrik pembuat bandan ban dalam yang telah dimodern isasi untuk memproduksi

berbagai tipe dan ukuran ban radial, bias, dan sepeda motor,

serta 2 pabrik penghasil produk yang berhubungan dengan

ban yang memproduksi ka in ban dan StyreneButad iene

Rubber (SBR). Kelima pabrik ban serta pabrikkain ban berlokasi

d i Tan gerang , sek itar 30 kil om eter sebe lah barat Jakarta ,Indonesia.Pabr ikSBR milikPerusahaan bertempat dikomplekInd ustr i Kim ia d i Merak,Ban ten, sek itar 90 km barat dari

Jakarta.

Selama 2005,Perusahaan telah memu lai ekspansi kapasitas

produksi ban rad ial dan ban sepeda motor d i lokasi yan g

berdekatan dengan pabrik ban saat ini.

Proyek ini masih berjalan , dan diperkirakan akan mengalam i

peningkatan produksi ban radial dar i 30 .000 ban/har i menjad i45 .000 ban/har i. Kapasitasekspansiini akan selesai tiga tahap

dan akan selesai tahun 2010.Ban sepeda motor juga akan

menga lam i pen ingkatan kapas i tas secara ber tahap dari

37 .000 ban/hari d i tahun 2005 men jad i 10 5.000 ban/haripada awal 2011.Saat inikapasitas ban sepeda motor 45 .000

ba n/hari.

Establishment

Esta blishe d in 1951, PT. Gajah Tunggal Tbk began its tire

manufactu ring by producing b icycle t ires. Thereafter , the

Company has grown to become the largest integrated t ire

producer in South-East Asia .

Pendirian Perusahaan

Integrasi Vertikal

Perusahaan terus berusaha mengurangi biaya produksi serta

menjam in kelancaran pasokan bahan baku untuk produksinya

melaluistrategi integrasivert ikalyang dilakukan dengan cara

mengakuisisi aset-aset yang memproduksi bahan baku utama

yang dibutuhkan Perusahaan dalam proses produksinya.
