HARD WATER PROBLEMSLimescale inside the water can be troublesome, especially for your appliances (kettle, dishwasher, wash-ing machine, shower, hot water tank, …). Scale can also build up inside the pipes and block them after a certain amount of time. Scale build up on the heating elements reduces it efficiency by up to 25%.

And due the fact that the build up scale will reduce, your energy bills will feel the benefits too.

To prevent this from happening any further a water softener from Aqua Control can stop this. Calcium and Magnesium bicarbonates (CaCO3) are exchanged inside the mineral tank by the ion-ex-change resin. When the resin beads are saturated with lime, the unit will make a regeneration (clean out). During this process the lime will wash away by the injected brine (salt-water). The lime will here be replaced again by sodium. When all the beads are charged, and all the salt is washed out of the sys-tem, the softening process begins again.For the system to work, salt bin needs to be topped up regularly. The salt being used is tablet salt (broxo 6-15, Axal pro, …). You can buy this salt anywhere (Kerry Agri, Coop, DIY,…). The higher the calcium and magnesium levels are, the more salt is being used. Don’t let the salt inside the salt container go too low. This causes the system to go over capacity and not being flushed out completely, leading to a break thru of lime in the water going to the house.

To install a water softener in your house is easy. Once we know the source (well or mains water), we can then proceed with finding a location for the system to be installed. This system needs a 3 pin power socket despite being extremely low in electricity consumption (less than 5 euro/year) and a drain.

Iron removal system Iron inside the water can cause problems. The main problems for iron water would be staining (toilet, sink, shower, bath, clothes). It can also clough up the pipes after a certain time. The limit for iron inside the water is 0.2 mg/l. To know what type of iron filter you would need, an independent laboratory test is needed. Once this is done, we can calculate and install an iron removal filtration system for you.

The Greensand unit (left) flushes out with the water pressure. It uses the oxidizer (potassium) to clean the iron and manganese of the gravel and filter media. There is nothing added to the water. This is an oxidizing system and not an ion exchange unit. The Cristal Right system uses a solution of salt and water (brine) to clean the iron and manganese of the filter media. It works on the principle of ion exchange (iron and manganese for sodium). There will be a slight increase in the sodium levels but it will still be below the limit of 250mg/l. The chemical free iron filters don’t use any chemicals. It flushes the iron out during the backwash with water.


Ultra Violet Disinfection

Ultra violet water sterilizer: According to Wikipedia : Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions.[1] UVGI is used in a variety of applications, such as food, air, and water purification. UV-C light is weak at the Earth's surface as the ozone layer of the atmosphere blocks it.[2] UVGI devices can produce strong enough UV-C light in circulating air or water systems to make them inhospitable environments to microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, molds and other pathogens. UVGI can be coupled with a filtration system to sanitize air and water. The application of UVGI to disinfection has been an accepted practice since the mid-20th century. It has been used primarily in medical sanitation and sterile work facilities. Increasingly it has been employed to sterilize drinking and wastewater

Our UV ultra violet water steriliser range from the domestic range (upto 60 l/min) over commercial range (upto 12 m3/h) to industrial UV (20-‐40 m3/h) and higher (50-‐150 m3/h to 1300m3/h. Heat disinfectable reverse osmosis unit

A consistently good water quality can only be guaranteed if the entire water circuit as well as the reverse osmosis unit are disinfected at regular intervals. Unlike common systems, these systems are designed in a way that allows heat disinfection of every component, including the reverse osmosis unit with its membrane elements, the loop, and the machine supply lines (double-hose connection system).
