Dear Transfer Student, This newsletter is to help keep you updated throughout the admissions process. We want
to make sure you are well informed of important dates, next steps, and exciting news on

Attention Accepted Students! ClassRegistration Begins in April!
April 4: Fall 2017 registration begins at 7:30 am forstudents with 72 or more earned credit hours April 18: Fall 2017 registration begins at 7:30 am forstudents with between 42 and 71 earned credithours April 25: Fall 2017 registration begins at 7:30 amfor students with between 0 and 41 earned credithours

For accepted students only ‑ If you have already been accepted, we'd like toinvite all accepted students and their families to campus for a celebration. Yourday will include meeting with faculty, current students, and your fellowclassmates. You will also have the opportunity to meet with financial aid, studentlife, get a campus tour and more!

Spring Open HouseJoin us for one of our Open House events, a chance for students to learn moreabout Canisius College. You will be able to speak with faculty in your major ofinterest, meet with the financial aid staff and learn more about campus clubs andactivities. Transfer Information Session
Specialty information sessions take place on select Saturdays and holidaysbeginning at 10am and include an admissions presentation and campus tour.Academic departments will be represented on certain days to answer questionsand give a presentation. Saturday, May 13 Click here to sign up

Transfer Credits
If you are approved for admission as a transfer student, your transcripts will be
evaluated by the Student Records Office. This evaluation will include a listing of all
college courses and credits that are transferable, as well as their equivalent value
to the Canisius degree program for which you are applying. All evaluations are
done in accordance with the college's accreditation policies and, generally, are
mailed within two weeks of your acceptance. Students who transfer with an
associate’s degree are given junior standing.
A maximum of 60 credit hours may be transferred from two‑year colleges,and at least 60 more credit hours must be earned at Canisius in order to beawarded the bachelor’s degree. Students transferring from four‑yearinstitutions may transfer a maximum of 90 credits and must complete atleast 30 credit hours at Canisius, including at least 18 in their major, in orderto earn the Bachelor’s degree.
