Year-to-date through the end of Feb. 2015, expenses exceeded revenues by $4,513. In January, $2,600 of expenses were our yearly contributions to programs that we support including:
1) Sharing & Caring - $500; 2) Habitat for Humanity - $100; 3) Soup Kitchen - $500; 4) Circle of Hope - $500; 5) Grace Gate - $500; and 6) Habersham Homeless Ministries - $500.
In February, $1,353 of expenses was our annual premium for casualty and workers comp insurance. We expect revenues to exceed expenses in the coming months as many of these one-time expenses are paid early in the fiscal year.

the Dark.” In this series, under the leadership of Brice Graves, the class is following
Taylor’s book and studying ways to find spirituality in those times when we don’t have all
the answers. They meet in the Education wing (Room 214) & would love to have you join in.
Diggers and Seekers are studying the Book of Judges they are in (Room 212). Al Peterson
has an amazing knowledge of the Old Testament and new members are welcome.
We now have a 3 & 4 Year-Old Class. They meet with
Kathryn Kelly downstairs in the room right next to the stairway
in the Franklin House. The Pre-K and K Class meets across the
hall with Kathy Palmer this month.

VBS – Hold the Dates!! July 6 – 9 for Hometown Nazareth…Where Jesus was a Kid
Everyone knows what it’s like to hear your mom tell stories
from your childhood. Can you imagine the kind of stories Mary
could tell? This year we will be taking our children (ages 4 – 12)
to Hometown Nazareth where they will stand up for their faith among people who doubt
the carpenter’s son is really God’s son. Bible Points will help kids realize Jesus was a
kid…just like them.
So be sure to make plans for your child to attend and bring a neighbor. Of course, like
always, volunteers are needed. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex or you can call or email
Phylecia Wilson (404-401-7969/[email protected] or [email protected]).
Wonderful Wednesday
Wonderful Wednesday will not be held on April 1 or on April 8.

Church Mission Statement God calls us to welcome all people and to equip them to become disciples,
who use their gifts to serve Christ by serving others.
Veeda’s Visit
We enjoyed a luncheon at the Attic.
Dr. Emory Warnock shared his Pakistan experience with the
congregation.
We enjoyed the reception
at the church for Veeda.
As you can see in this photo
we are proud of our SHE
purchases.
The youth group delivered treats to Clarkesville Fire Department, Habersham
County Sheriff's office and Habersham Medical Center ER. While we were building
snowmen and drinking hot cocoa during the snow & ice the past couple of weeks, these men
and women were working tirelessly to ensure the safety of the citizens of our community.
We appreciate all they do for us!

Every year, I look forward to the longer days and warmer temperatures that Spring affords us. This year, Spring also brings some exciting opportunities for the FPCC Youth. In addition to the Easter holiday and Spring Break, the Youth are looking forward to a few service projects to go along with the nice weather.
The first week of April, many of the members of the Youth Group will be helping prepare for the annual Easter Egg Hunt (Sat, April 4) by decorating eggs, face painting, and donating food and candy. Also fast approaching is a youth-sponsored pancake dinner to celebrate Maundy Thursday. The meal will be at 6pm on Thursday, April 2, and will feature pancakes, bacon, sausage, and more, served by members of the Youth. This event will take the place of the Biscuit Breakfast fundraiser for the month of April.
In the weeks to come, the Youth look forward to some outings to Pitts Park, Youth Sunday in May, and ultimately our mission trip to Charlotte in July. Also of note, the youth section of the church website has been updated and will continue to be updated regularly. We invite everyone to take a look for news and information about the FPCC Youth program.
Happy Easter and hope to see everyone at these upcoming events! David Hammock
