Phi Music Rocks!

On Friday, April 4, the Nu Beta Chapter ran a 7 hour music festival, raising money for St. Jude

Children’s Research Hospital. This event helped further cement Phi Mu Delta at UNH and was a

great way to reach out to different segments of the community. Organized by Brothers Spencer

Black and Ryan Ross, Phi Music rallied the whole brotherhood behind this cause and we had a great

number of event attendees.

Rolling off of the energy produced by Phi Music, Phi Mu Delta enters a very busy time for our

Fraternity. This will cause our members to dedicate themselves to our values of Brotherhood,

Service, and Democracy, and in order to achieve our goals for the rest of this semester and year,

Nu Beta has many challenges and goals to overcome and strive for, but we know that with

dedication, support, and optimism we can achieve these goals. By fighting for our values, we can

motivate our entire group to reach the highest possible points and really surprise a lot of people

with what we can achieve.

Relay for L i fe

The Nu Beta Chapter of Phi Mu Delta is proud to be a part of and share our leadership in our second Relay for

Life. This year’s Relay is on April 12, 2014. Brothers will yet again set up the qmd Headquarters at the Relay and

set up entertainment for all the relayers. Last year, we raised over $1000 for the cancer research, and we are looking

to outraise that this year. We would greatly appreciate donations towards this effort, and donations can be made by

clicking this link. We are at $490 raised so far for this year. Each Brother that is signed up has their own personal page,

so you can either donate to the team or to their specific cause. We are very excited and look forward to fighting such a

terrible disease through Relay.

Brotherhood Updates

Several of our Nu Beta brothers have had very big life moments in the past few weeks. Brother Cody Wheaton

was able to choose upon working at Winnacunet High School following his Graduation in May. In big news, Brother

Alexander Newman proposed to longtime girlfriend and sister of Delta Xi Phi, Melissa Moreau, on Friday. Please join us

in congratulating all in this major events.

At last week’s Chapter meeting, it was announced that the Executive Board and Senior Class voted to send

Brothers Thomas Stephen, Joe Sweeney, Ryan Ross, and Peter Le to the 2014 Phi Mu Delta Conclave in Connecticut.

These Brothers will present the Fraternity well as we continue to build our support network and connect with Phi Mu

Delta’s across the nation.

Alumni Outreach

The Nu Beta Chapter of Phi Mu Delta has many goals and needs to meet. We

greatly appreciate Alumni support and look forward to building our Alumni net-

work to get everyone on the same page. We have established a Facebook page

to keep in touch with all of the alumni, we have begun sending out these news-

letters in order to keep all of our alum in the loop, and we are actively seeking

input from alum as to what programming we should and can do to best integrate

the various years of Phi Mu Delta Nu Beta Brothers. Now that Nu Beta is re-

chartered, it is full steam ahead towards the future. We know that with the sup-

port and backing of our alumni, we can achieve any goal we set our eyes upon.

It is upon the bridges we build within the brotherhood that future Phi Mu Deltas

will walk across and benefit from.

Help us re-build the bridges you built while on campus by reaching out to the

brothers during your time here and telling them about our efforts. Send us their

emails and contact information so we can integrate them within our efforts.

Do not be afraid to ask what we need! Also, any guidance or advice on future

steps we have to take will be greatly appreciated. We are looking into an alumni

-brothers social for the fall semester and will be happy to keep you in the loop

on those develoments.

This is the same article that appear in our March 31 Newsletter, but we have in-

creased our reach to alumni since that point.
