TAKS Testing In April Con’t…1. The schedule for that week is nearly complete

and will be sent to you in the next few days.2. For TAMS reviews during TAKS week,

teachers will need a projection device and computer on days they are not testing.

3. Be sure your classroom is “sanitized” for testing (remove informative postings from your class walls for testing)

4. Be sure you have the testing assignments and your responsibilities prior to getting into the week. Mel will be sending that out to you as we get closer.

The testing period will run from 7:20 – 9:50 All students will report to 3rd period for attendance Teachers and students will follow their regular bell schedule after 3rd period

Mainbuilding Teachers:

Tuesday, April 5

Teachers and students will follow their regular bell schedule all day Students in grades 10 – 12 who have 1st, 2nd, or 3rd period at the NGC will remain in the mainbuilding

commons during those periods

Ninth Grade English Field Testing Schedule April 5 & 6

NGC Teachers:

Wednesday, April 6

Teachers and students will follow their regular bell schedule through the beginning of 4th period

Students will attend only one of two lunches – either “A” Lunch or “B” Lunch Arnett, Cook, Fortenberry, Franklin, Glos’s, and all upstairs teachers’ 4th period classes

will attend “A” Lunch, which is a split lunch Remaining first floor teachers’ and all 9th graders who have 4th period in the

mainbuilding will attend “B” Lunch “A” Lunch students will report back to their 4th period teacher’s class following their

lunch period Mainbuilding students who have classes at the NGC will be held in the mainbuilding

commons for 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th periods

Mainbuilding Teachers:

Wednesday, April 6

Teachers and students will follow their regular bell schedule all day Mainbuilding students who travel to the NGC for 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th periods will be held in

the mainbuilding commons 9th graders who have 4th period classes in the mainbuilding will be released at 10:57 to

eat lunch at the NGC

Spring Reminders• Take attendance religiously!• If a student leaves class, they must have a

pass• Check dress code 1st period each day • Now is the time to contact parents. If you

have a senior who is in danger of failing, call ASAP. It only gets worse if you don’t.

• Grade Changes are due no later than 7 days after the end of the 9 weeks marking period.

• Be aware of your students and if you hear or notice something out of the ordinary, check it out and report it so we can help our students.
