Dear Parents,

Next week we will be testing on reading the Ayres’ lists (Spelling lists) 14-17.

Please practice nightly the flashcards that were emailed home at the

beginning of the quarter. Lists 18-20 will be tested towards the end of the

quarter. As the Ayres’ words are the most frequently found in stories, knowing

them will greatly improve your child’s reading level and fluency.

Our ABC Countdown continues next week with the following days:

Monday...J Day—bring your jump rope if you have one

Tuesday...K Day—Kite day

Wednesday...L Day—Leo Lioni (author) and Lollipops

Thursday... M Day—Movie and munchies

Friday...N Day—Nice Note day—We will send this home to do Thursday night
