There have been several cases in the news about exonerations happening due to mistaken ID of defendants. In this session, Mr. Armistead and Ms. Brown will address the pitfalls of eyewitness identi�cation and misidenti�cation. We identify the implications for the legal investigator.

KITTY HAILEY, CLI - ETHICS IN A CHANGING WORLD. Learn how the third addition of Kitty’s book, The Code of Professional Conduct: Standards and Ethics for the Investigative Profession, has been impacted by social media, advanced surveillance technology and computer storage of information.

THE EXPONENT DAY - On Friday we have a full day of interactive training by Exponent’s engineers and scientists. Attendees will learn about injury mechanisms, vehicle evidence photography, test device demonstrations and misconceptions about physics. Also, Exponent will cover engineering failure analysis, �re and explosion investigations, metallurgical and materials failure analysis, intellectual property, and paints and protective coatings. Attendees will select six out of eight sessions to attend.
