Workshop Workshop on Johari model
The process of giving and receiving feedback is one of the most
important things in a school. A model known as the Johari window
developed by psychologists Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham illustrates
the process of giving and receiving feed-back. Mr. K. Dilip was the
resource person for this workshop for teachers of CMCL Vidya Bharati
School. The workshop was conducted with the aim that after this the
teachers will be able to improve their self-awareness and develop a
better understanding with their students. It will also help in teacher’s
personal development. Mr. Dilip introduced the Johari window model.
He then illuminated the arena, the hidden areas and after that the
blind spot and unknown area. After that he engaged all the teachers
in in exercise in which he divided the teachers into twos and then
asked them to interact and write about what they see in another
person. Then he concluded the workshop by summarizing and revising
the key concepts, by motivating the teachers to adopt this model.
