Celebrity Chef On Wednesday, March 30th, we had our most attended Celebrity Chef Dinner to date with over 60 people fed! A delightful time was had by all thanks to the culinary wonders of Ms. Marie Eiffel. But not only were our stomachs treated; our ears were gifted with the vocals of Mr. Frank Milano, who sang a few numbers for us to keep us entertained. Many thanks, too, to our servers: Dan, Debbie, and Henry Binder, Clarissa Tybaert, and Chris Gallagher!

In November The Election Day Luncheon and Sugar Plum Fair proceeds help fund the Church Endowment Fund, The Velore Mission in India, Least Coin to Long Island Presbyterian Woman and Deacons Fund a t Christmas due to the hard work of the women in this organization.

God creates a blessed newness; now it springs forth, don’t you see?Come, you people of creation, gather now at God’s decree.

Do not fear for God is with us, pay no heed to things of old.We are servants of the Sacred, wondrous works will we behold!

See who gathers at the table, all invited by our Lord; Varied people, many colors, all commissioned by the Word.

Many ways are gospel stories shared among God’s people dear.Let us gather round the table all with eager ears to hear.

Newness comes and, with it, struggle, but our tests cause us to grow. Things will change but God is present more than we could ever know.

Give us courage, Lord, and wisdom for the days which lie ahead.May we live as your disciples, nurtured by your daily bread.

We are witnesses of mercy, we are called to testify, Gifts of grace in all abundance, steadfast love in strong supply.

God will guide and we will gather, leaning forward, called by name. What great blessings lie before us, God’s to give and ours to claim.

Preparation for the Sugar Plum Fair is a yearlong creative process. Each year more talents and contributions have been added and this year we’re reaching out to our Church Family for participation of new ideas and talents.

All women are welcome to our meetings – the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am – in Fellowship Hall. Brings your lunch, ideas and a project to work on while we meet. The more the merrier.

We have an ever changing wish list of items that will help us accomplish our fund raising projects. Some of the ladies will be making their wonderful canned goods. Jelly and pint canning jars are needed. Donations from your gardens, fruit trees or berry bushes are welcome – we have recipes.

Watch the UPW corner of the Tidings for updates and we hope you can join us at our next meeting.
