At the West Cook Y, we're all about helping you attempt new things, stretch a bit out of your comfort zone and become your best self. Programs at the Y focus on three things youth development, healthy living and social responsibility and we've got exciting news in all three of those areas. From cooking to drama, visual arts to STEM (science, technology, environment and mathematics), students will present plays they direct and star in themselves, build robots, explore new cultures and much, much more. Youth development at the Y is a perfect cure for idle hands! The Village of Oak Park is supporting theCoalition by underwriting a consulting arrangementwith the Heartland Alliance to develop an actionplan. As part of the process, the Coalition is holding a series of stakeholder meetings toseek input from funders, social service entities, school districts, governmental entities lawenforcement and the faith community. We will have a brief presentation on the work ofthe Coalition, an overview of homelessness in our community and solutions. WellBeing Together, It's Possible!Remember the old saying, "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder?"Well, that's also true with wellbeing!

At the Y, "wellbeing" describes becoming your best self through theactivities you pursue as a member. There is no formula when itcomes to wellbeing; only you can decide what makes you feel as ifyou are living in alignment with who you truly are.

Helping anyone in the community who truly desires to achievepersonal wellness succeed at that goal is our passion at the Y. Fromour trainers to preschool teachers, dieticians, to our swim coachesand lifestyle coaches, we want to give all our members theopportunity to break down barriers and achieve their goals.

Our Annual Support Campaign is one of the most important wayswe accomplish that. As a notforprofit organization, we rely ondonations from local businesses and our members to help us providescholarships for membership dues or class registrations. It really is true we don't wantpersonal financial need to stand in the way of anyone who genuinely wants to participate in ourY programs.

Please support the 2016 Annual Support Campaign at the West Cook Y. Every gift matters andevery dollar will be used to help others with financial challenges achieve wellbeing throughprograms at the Y.

Next time you are at the Y, look around someone you see is at the Y because of a scholarshipthat was made possible by the Annual Support Campaign. Thank you for helping make this lifechanging program possible.
