A Message from the President

Happy Spring APICS Fox Valley Chapter members!

As I write this month’s message, our chapter’s board of directors is putting the finishing touches on this

year’s Top Management Night. This year, our event will be held at the Fin N’ Feather in Winneconne,

WI on April 20th. I hope you have your calendars marked for this year’s event. Prior to the Top

Management Night meeting you will have the opportunity to attend a manufacturing plant tour of

Oshkosh Designs Company, which is located at 911 E. Main St. in Winneconne, WI. The tour will

begin promptly at 3:30 PM. Please arrive at 3:15 PM so the tour can begin on time.

Our featured speaker for the evening will be Brenda Kubasta the President of Oshkosh Designs. Brenda

will speak to us about staying competitive in a down economy. I think we can further translate that to

staying competitive in the “New Normal”. In addition to the tour, the dinner, and the featured speaker,

we’ll be conducting some chapter business with our yearly elections and a special vote to approve

changes to the chapter by-laws. We will also be recognizing YOU, our members, and your

accomplishments this past year. Before our featured speaker presents, we will take the opportunity to

recognize newly certified members, members celebrating milestone anniversaries, and our out-standing

instructors who have taught the APICS body of knowledge to our members. We will also be naming our

Member and of the Year, Company of the Year, and our first ever Most Sustainable Company of the

Year. It will be an exciting event and I hope to see you there.

Bring your boss and you both will receive $5.00 off your registration fees!

Register for this event NOW as tour space is limited. Once we reach our capacity, we will start a first

come first served list in case of cancellations.

. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5:00 PM APRIL 13th.

More details on the event can be found inside this newsletter.

Registration is open, so get signed up today!

Student Chapter Update The APICS student chapter is continuing the semester strong with many great meetings, tours and activities. In the past

month, the chapter has had great opportunities to learn about Hormel Foods at the monthly PDM and tour one of Miller

Electric’s manufacturing facilities. As we look to the conclusion of our school year, we are excited about the many events.

We are in discussion about our last PDM speaker, and we will be attending a plant tour at P & H Mining Equipment on April

29. The chapter will also be running a fund raiser at the Festival Foods Brat Fry on Friday, April 1 and encourage all to

come and support. The chapter is also having a social event at the Brewer game on April 8. Finally, a special thanks to the

students who attended the APICS Great Lakes case competition in Chicago where they placed third.
