Due protagonisti del mondo del design entrano nel team creativo Kristalia, ampliando ulteriormente la sua gamma ed i suoi orizzonticreativi. Diversi nuovi prodotti, dopo la fase di prototipazione e la presentazione durante le recenti edizioni di Interieur (Kortrijk) e Now!Design à Vivre (Parigi), sono pronti ad affrontare il mercato. Il 2011 si presenta come un’annata ricca di ottime novità, perché Kristaliaimmagina e realizza un futuro positivo, ogni giorno.

Two protagonists in the design sector join the Kristalia creative team, further extending its range and creative horizons. Several newproducts, after the prototype production stage and presentation at recent editions of Interieur (Kortrijk) and Now! Design à Vivre(Paris), are now ready to go on the market. 2011 promises to be a year with plenty of excellent new products: because Kristaliaconceives and creates a positive future every day.

Zwei Hauptdarsteller der Welt des Designs schließen sich dem kreativen Team von Kristalia an, um das Produktangebot und denschöpferischen Horizont neuerlich zu erweitern. Verschiedene neue Produkte sind nun nach der Phase des Prototypings und derPräsentation auf der letzten Interieur-Messe in Kortrijk und der Now! Design à Vivre in Paris bereit, sich dem Markt zu stellen. DasJahr 2011 verspricht ein Jahrgang mit ausgezeichneten Neuheiten zu werden: denn Kristalia erfindet und realisiert jeden Tag einepositive Zukunft.

Después de la fase de prototipación y de su presentación durante las recientes ediciones de Interieur (Kortrijk) y Now!Design à Vivre (París), varios nuevos productos están listos para afrontar el mercado. El año 2011 se presenta come un periodolleno de excelentes novedades: porque Kristalia imagina y realiza un futuro positivo, cada día.

Body:

Un volume che scaturisce da un’unica superficie,modellata sulle forme del corpo. Un’emozione altempo stesso grintosa e avvolgente. Un nuovopersonaggio nello scenario domestico: Pulp, sedutadisegnata da Christophe Pillet e realizzata daKristalia in polipropilene in diversi colori. Una sfidaprogettuale e tecnologica per un prodotto concepitoall’insegna della resistenza all’usura, dell’impilabilità edella facilità di pulizia, ideale per il contract e gli spazicollettivi.

A structure that flows from a single surface, mouldedaccording to the shapes of the body. A spirited yet all-embracing emotion. A new character in the homeenvironment: Pulp, a chair designed by ChristophePillet and produced by Kristalia in polypropylene invarious colours. It was a design and technologicalchallenge for a product designed to be easy to clean,resistant to wear and tear and stackable, and ideal forthe contract furnishing sector and community areas.

Ein Volumen, das aus einer einzigen, nach derKörperform modellierten Oberfläche entspringt. Eingleichzeitig angriffslustiges und einladendes Gefühl.Eine neue Persönlichkeit im häuslichen Szenarium:Pulp, das von Christophe Pillet entworfene und vonKristalia hergestellte Sitzmöbel aus Polypropylen inverschiedenen Farben. Eine planerische undtechnologische Herausforderung für ein Produkt, dasganz im Zeichen einfacher Reinigung, hoherVerschleißfestigkeit und Stapelfähigkeit entwickeltwurde und ideal für die Contract-Branche undGemeinschaftseinrichtungen ist.

Unnuevo personaje en el escenario doméstico: Pulp,silla diseñada por Christophe Pillet y realizada porKristalia en polipropileno de distintos colores. Undesafío a nivel tecnológico y de proyecto para un

producto apilable concebido para facilitar la limpiezay mejorar la resistencia al desgaste, ideal para elsector contract y para los espacios colectivos.

Designer francese formatosi a Milano, dove hainaugurato il suo studio nel 1991, Christophe Pillet èuna personalità eclettica nelle realizzazioni e nellecollaborazioni: dal product design all’interior design,dall’architettura alla scenografia, sempre ricercandouna semplicità non banale, un’eleganza fatta dipochi segni. “La poltrona e il tavolo che ho disegnatoper Kristalia sono progetti ambiziosi, non solo per illoro design ma anche per la difficoltà nellamanifattura industriale. Sono oggetti semplici nellaforma ma complicati in termini tecnici."

Christophe Pillet, a French designer who started histraining in Milan in 1991, is highly versatile with hiscreations and partnerships: from product design tointerior design, architecture and set design, healways pursues interesting simplicity, elegancecreated with a few details. “The chair and table Ihave designed for Kristalia are ambitious projects,not only due to their design but also to the difficultyinvolved in industrially producing them. Theseobjects are simple in shape but technicallycomplicated."

Der französische Designer Christophe Pillet, der inMailand seinen Master erhielt und dort im Jahr 1991sein Studio eröffnete, zeigt sich bei der Realisierungund bei den Zusammenarbeiten als eine vielseitiginteressierte Persönlichkeit: Sein Horizont reicht vomProduct Design bis zum Interior Design und von derArchitektur bis zur Szenografie, wobei er stets eineniemals banale Einfachheit und eine aus wenigenKennzeichen bestehende Eleganz sucht. “DerSessel und der Tisch, die ich für Kristalia entworfen

habe, sind ambitionierte Projekte, und zwar nicht nuraufgrund ihres Designs, sondern auch wegen derSchwierigkeiten bei der industriellen Fertigung. Siesind von der Form her einfache Gegenstände mitvielen technischen Tücken."

Diseñador francés formado en Milán, dondeinauguró su estudio en 1991, Christophe Pillet esuna personalidad ecléctica en lo que se refiere a susrealizaciones y colaboraciones: del diseñador deproducto al diseñador de interiores, de laarquitectura a la escenografía, siempre en busca deuna sencillez que no resulte banal, de una eleganciabasada en pocos signos. “La butaca y la mesa quehe diseñado para Kristalia son proyectosambiciosos, no solo por su diseño, sino también porla dificultad de su manufactura industrial. Sonobjetos simples en la forma, pero complicados entérminos técnicos."

“In questo mondo nuovo dove i modelli di abitazionesono cambiati, non c’è più il dentro e il fuori, la casae il lavoro, ma c’è una ridistribuzione degli spazi divita”. Da questa chiara riflessione di Christophe Pillet,nasce un progetto altrettanto lineare e immediato:Neat. Una collezione di tavoli adatti a qualsiasi spazioe utilizzo: dall'ufficio agli spazi domestici. La struttura,sempre con canalina passacavi integrata, è inalluminio, mentre il piano è in compensato marinorivestito in lamiera verniciata a polveri, con unapiacevole finitura goffrata.

“In this new world where home types have changed,there is no longer inside and outside or home andwork, but a redistribution of living spaces”. This clearreflection from Christophe Pillet leads to a just ascoherent and up-to-date design project: Neat. Thiscollection of tables is ideal for any space and use:from the office to home areas. It has an aluminiumstructure, always with an integrated cable holder, anda marine plywood top faced with epoxy-lacquered

sheet metal, with an attractive textured finish.

“In dieser neuen Welt mit ihren völlig verändertenWohnmodellen gibt es keine Unterteilung mehr fürInnen- und Außenbereich, für Heim und Arbeit,sondern eine ständige Neuverteilung derLebensräume”. Aus dieser klaren Überlegung vonChristophe Pillet entsteht ein gleichermaßengeradliniges und spontanes Projekt: Neat. EineTischkollektion, die für jeden Raum und jeden Einsatzgeeignet ist: vom Büro bis zum häuslichenWohnbereich. Die Struktur, stets mit integriertemKabelkanal, ist aus Aluminium, während dieTischplatte aus wasserfestem Sperrholz mit Auflageaus pulverlackiertem Stahlblech besteht und eineangenehme Strukturlackausführung aufweist.

Pillet nace un proyecto igualmente lineal e inmediato:Neat. Una colección de mesas adecuadas paracualquier espacio y para cualquier uso: de la oficina alos espacios domésticos. La estructura, con canalpasacables integrado, es de aluminio, mientras queel sobre es de compensado marino revestido conchapa barnizada en polvo con un agradable acabadotexturizado.

“Dans le monde actuel où les modèles d'habitationont changé, il n'y a plus de dehors et de dedans, demaison et de travail, mais il y a une redistribution desespaces de vie”. C'est à partir de cette réflexion clairede Christophe Pillet qu'est né un projet tout aussilinéaire et immédiat: Neat. Il s'agit d'une collection detables s'adaptant à tout espace et à toute utilisation:du bureau aux espaces domestiques. La structure,toujours équipée d'un conduit passe-câbles intégré,est en aluminium tandis que le plateau est encontreplaqué marine, revêtu d'une tôle laquée époxyprésentant une agréable finition gaufrée.

Nel 2010 la seduta Elephant ha inaugurato lacollaborazione fra Kristalia e lo studio NeulandIndustriedesign, con un notevole successo di critica edi pubblico. Nel 2011 si presenta in due nuovevarianti, con gambe in legno massello di faggio,dall’aspetto tipicamente nordico, oppure con basegirevole in pressofusione di alluminio lucidato overniciato. La scocca è sempre disponibile conrivestimento in cuoio, ispirato al dorso di unpachiderma, oppure in poliuretano, eventualmentecon un nuovo cuscino rimovibile rivestito in tessutotecnico Scuba by Kvadrat: un tocco di comfort in più.

In 2010, the Elephant chair inaugurated thepartnership between Kristalia and NeulandIndustriedesign studio, receiving considerable criticaland public acclaim. In 2011, it is available in two newversions, with solid beech legs, typically Nordic-looking, or with a swivel base in polished orlacquered pressure die-cast aluminium. The structureis still available upholstered in hide, inspired by theback of an elephant, or in polyurethane, with a new

optional removable cushion upholstered in Scubatechnical fabric by Kvadrat: a touch of extra comfort.

Im Jahr 2010 bildete das Sitzmöbel Elephant denStartschuss für die Zusammenarbeit zwischenKristalia und dem Studio Neuland Industriedesign undkonnte bei Kritikern und Publikum einen beachtlichenErfolg verzeichnen. 2011 stellen sich nun zwei neueVarianten vor, mit Beinen aus massivem Buchenholzfür einen typisch nordischen Look, oder mitdrehbarem Untergestell aus Aluminiumguss inpolierter oder lackierter Ausführung. Der Aufbau ist, inAnlehnung an den Rücken eines Dickhäuters, immermit Bezug aus Leder oder aber aus Polyurethanlieferbar, eventuell mit einem neuen abnehmbarenKissen mit technischem Stoffbezug Scuba byKvadrat: ein weiteres komfortables Detail.

C'est en 2010 que le siège Elephant a inauguré lacollaboration entre Kristalia et le cabinet NeulandIndustriedesign, une collaboration couronnée desuccès aussi bien par la critique que par le public. Olandese lui, sudamericana lei. Harry&Camila, unacoppia unica nel panorama del design che ha dato vitaad una famiglia di prodotti altrettanto speciali: glisgabelli BCN. Il nome deriva da Barcellona, una dellecittà più amate dai due designer. La seduta èrealizzata in PBT, una plastica particolarmenteresistente al peso ed al calore. La collezione BCN siarricchisce di un nuovo modello, che affianca alle dotidi questo materiale così tecnologico il calore naturaledelle gambe in legno di faggio tornito. Un incontroinedito, reso ancora più particolare dai piedini ingomma nello stesso colore della seduta.

He is Dutch while she is South American.Harry&Camila, a unique pair in the design world, whohave created a collection of just as special products: theBCN stools. The name comes from Barcelona, one ofthe cities the two designers love best. The seat is inPBT, a plastic that is highly resistant to weight and heat.A new version is added to the BCN collection, whichcombines the qualities of such a technological materialwith the natural warm appeal of lathe-turned beech legs.

A unique match, made even more special with rubberfeet in the same colour as the seat.

Er Holländer, sie Südamerikanerin. Harry&Camila, einim Bereich des Designs einzigartiges Paar, das einegleichermaßen außergewöhnliche Produktfamilieerschaffen hat: die Hocker BCN. Der Name stammt vonBarcelona, eine der meist geliebtesten Städte derbeiden Designer. Das Sitzmöbel ist aus PBT gefertigt,ein Kunststoffmaterial von hoher Belastbarkeit undbesonderer Wärmebeständigkeit. Die Kollektion BCNwird durch ein neues Modell bereichert, das die Vorzügedieses hoch technologischen Materials mit dernatürlichen Wärme der Beine aus gedrechseltemBuchenholz vereint. Ein ungewöhnlichesAufeinandertreffen, das durch die Gummifüße in Farbeder Sitzfläche noch auffallender wird.

Barcelona, una de las ciudades más amadas por losdos diseñadores. La silla está realizada en PBT, unplástico particularmente resistente al peso y al calor.La colección BCN se enriquece con un nuevo modeloque añade el calor natural de las patas de madera dehaya torneada a las virtudes de este materialtecnológico. Una combinación inédita cuyaparticularidad se ve potenciada por las patas de goma,del mismo color que la silla.

Une allianceinédite, rendue encore plus originale par des pieds encaoutchouc dont le coloris est assorti à celui de l'assise.

Sottile come un pensiero, perfetto come una formulamatematica, Thin-K è il prodotto della passione perla meccanica del designer Luciano Bertoncini e delknow-how tecnologico Kristalia. Una collezione ditavoli fissi o allungabili, con uno spessoreinfinitesimale: appena 6mm, un’autentica sfida allalegge di gravità. La finitura del piano è utilizzataanche per il lato esterno delle gambe, generando uneffetto ottico che caratterizza ulteriormente il tavolo.

As subtle as a thought, as perfect as a mathematicalformula, Thin-K is a product created from the passionfor mechanics of designer Luciano Bertoncini and thetechnological know-how of Kristalia. A collection offixed and extending tables, of infinitesimal thickness:just 6mm, a real challenge to the laws of gravity. Thefinish of the top is the same as the external side ofthe legs, creating an optical effect that makes thetable stand out even more.

Thin-K ist ein Produkt, das dieLeidenschaft des Designer Luciano Bertoncini fürMechanik und das technologische Know-How vonKristalia verkörpert. Eine Kollektion aus fixen oderausziehbaren Tischen von unendlich dünner Stärke:kaum 6 mm, eine wahrhafte Herausforderung an dasGesetz der Schwerkraft. Die Ausführung derTischplatte setzt sich auch an der Außenseite derBeine fort und schafft so einen optischen Effekt, derden Tisch noch mehr in den Mittelpunkt stellt.

On a utilisé la même finition que celle duplateau sur la face extérieure des pieds, ce quiproduit un effet optique conférant encore davantagede caractère à la table.
