LEDinside, a Taiwan-based market research institute, indicates that global market demand for LED lighting was estimated at US$30.5 billion in 2016, compared to US$25.7 billion in 2015, with the penetration rate of such products rising to 36 percent. The LED system features fast, easy installation and replacement of lighting fixtures and modules, thanks to its plug- and-play design, which allows users to remove and install modules with just a click. The modules offer energy savings of up to 80 percent, with a maximum luminous efficacy of 157 lm/W and energy efficiency class of A++ or A+, making the interchangeable system lead in the industry. Future-proof versatility is also among the system’s attractions to luminaire producers, lighting designers and end-users. The lighting system is designed with a standardized socket system, while the modules are available in various wattage levels, color temperatures, color rendering and light distribution patterns Nan Ya Photonics Inc., the LED subsidiary of the Formosa Plastics Group (FPG), is exhibiting a wide range of LED-lighting equipment covering industrial, commercial and residential applications at this year’s TILS. Founded in 2003 as an LED chipmaker, Nan Ya Photonics branched out into lighting manufacturing in 2010 in cooperation with Epistar Corp., one of world’s largest epitaxial wafer and LED chip maker. The 11th Solid State Lighting (2017 tSSL) is going to take place between April 12 and 13 in Conference Room 504 (5F) in TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 as a concomitant event during TILS and LED Taiwan 2017.

The symposium is organized by Taiwan’s government-funded Industrial Technology Research Institute in associate with Taiwan Optoelectronic Semiconductor Industry Association, with support from TAITRA, SEMI and TLFEA. Obviously a successful event, the 2016 edition attracted over 350 attendees during its two-day span.

2017 tSSL to Throw Light on Emerging Lighting and Advanced Technologies

2017, running from April 12 through 15 in tandem with TILS 2017, is

The Taiwan-based Eiffel Lighting Co., Ltd., a lighting fixture maker, is nominated as a finalist for the Innovation Product Award 2017 in Indoor Lighting Category with its Pink Chandelier.

The chandelier features shades of lily-shaped, pink-tinted glass for breathtaking exterior and chromatic design and rather impressive visual appeals. Despite its complex profile, such glass shades have been set for mass production, mainly thanks to Eiffel Lighting’s efforts on learning glass craftsmanship from Italy to improve its exiting production techniques.
