Suicides, mental health calls, assaults and drugs were the featured polls of the week,
plus the usual drunk drivers and thefts.
20-1688 Burglary/Auto Theft: Person(s) gained entry to the Tesla dealership via insecure point
of entry. A vehicle was stolen from within. The incident occurred as early as 5/15/2020 but was
just reported today when employees of Tesla located the vehicle in St. Louis City. City police
were contacted by Tesla, prior to Chesterfield being contacted, and the vehicle was recovered
and returned to Tesla. A suspect was identified at the scene of the vehicle recovery.
Chesterfield entered this person as a POI and St. Louis City took him into custody. The suspect
is being picked up from City at the time of this EOS.

20-1689 Assault: Officers answered a call of a flourishing at Woods Mill and Olive. Upon
arrival officers located an EDP subject who reported his life was verbally threatened by a subject
who he had a prior conflict with about a week ago. The suspect was GOA but was identified as
an EDP that this department has received daily calls on for the past week or so. The suspect was
entered as a POI for assault.

20-1690 Trespass: The suspect from the above assault has previously been issued a trespass
warning from a business on Olive. At some point after the above assault the suspect entered this
business again but was GOA upon the arrival of police. The suspect was entered as a POI for
trespass.
20-1691 Larceny: A subject stole two packs of cigarettes from a different business on Olive.
The clerk was unable to provide a definite suspect description although it is believed the suspect
is the same as in the assault and trespassing reports above. Video should be available but was
not able to be accessed by the clerk at this time.
20-1689 / 20-1690 / 20-1691 – Supplement The suspect in these cases returned to Phillips 66
and was taken into custody. He is well known to officers and an Emotionally Disturbed Person
(EDP). He was brought to the station, questioned and confessed to these incidents and an
unreported theft at a local cigar store. He was issued summonses, warned against further
trespass and taken home on Heather Crest. Officers will petition Municipal Court for these cases
to be referred to Mental Health Court.

20-1701: SEU took a report where a known thief entered the rear of a store on Chesterfield
Commons East. At the time the store was not open for business, but the rear door was insecure
and employees were working inside. The investigation is continuing.
20-1702: Chesterfield officers responded to I-64 near the Boone Bridge in response
to a person walking in a traffic lane. The person was located by St. Charles
County eastbound on their side of the bridge. The subject was EDP and/or under
the influence of drugs. The subject avoided the St. Charles County officers and
crossed all the traffic lanes of westbound I-64 until reaching and walking in the
right lane of westbound. The subject moved to the right shoulder when a
Chesterfield officer arrived on scene. Upon contact the subject began to run back
into the lanes of westbound which contained substantial traffic at the time. The
officer was able to prevent this by grabbing the subject, taking her to the ground
and holding her until the arrival of assistance. EMS took the subject to a St.
Charles hospital for an evaluation. The officer sustained minor injuries. The
officer’s actions prevented any physical injury to the subject.
20-1706: Minor physical confrontation between two subjects on Alrick. EMS refused. Subjects
separated. Conflicting stories and no clear primary aggressor. Case to be referred to Muni Court
20-1709 CIT (13728 Olive Blvd.) – An officer on patrol was stopped by a female that was lost.
After further questioning it turns out the female left the state of New Mexico three days ago and
was a diagnosed with mental health issues. Her husband and brother were contacted in New
Mexico and were aware she left but did not know where she went. EMS was contacted to check
the health of the female and she was transported to Mercy Hospital where she was examined by
several mental health experts. The female was held at the hospital for an involuntary
commitment by doctors until family could travel from New Mexico to take custody.

20-1711 Liquor violation/Curfew violation (14804 Clayton Rd) – An officer found several
juvenile behind the gas station on Clayton Rd. in possession of alcohol and being out after
curfew. Parents were all notified and juveniles will be referred to court.
20-1712 and 1713 Open Doors – Unlocked doors were found on two businesses at 140 Long
Rd. A search of both businesses revealed no issues. Emergency contacts were made on both
stores.
No report – Verbal disturbance at the Double Tree Hotel 16625 Swingley Ridge between
boyfriend/girlfriend. Boyfriend agreed to leave and return to his residence in St. Louis City.

20-1718 Larceny: Victim reported his bicycle was stolen off the rear of his vehicle while the
vehicle was parked on the lot of a medical building on Woods Mill.

20-1719 Suicide: While at a home on Todd Evan, a person in his 20s used a rifle to shoot
himself in the head. Next of kin notified.
20-1720 Suicide: A Chesterfield teenager went to the home of his ex-girlfriend in Clarkson
Valley. While on the front porch of the girlfriend’s house the teenager used a handgun to shoot
himself in the head. The victim was transported to Mercy and while still alive at last report, is
not expected to survive. Mother notified and responded to Mercy.
UPDATE 20-1346: On 4/3/2020 this department took a report of a stolen vehicle from an
address on Sunbridge. Today the vehicle was recovered by St. Louis City. A suspect was taken
into custody by the City. The vehicle was taken to City Tow and is awaiting processing by the
day watch tomorrow. The victim has been notified. A POI has been sent for the suspect,
however he is being held by the City on their own charges.
FRIDAY May 22, 2020
20-1724 Open door (16950 Chesterfield Airport Rd) – Officer checking the business found an
unlocked side door. The business was checked and no issues were found. Emergency contact
with business management was made.
No report – Around 5 am the department received a call of two males entering unlocked cars
in the area of Greyabbey Ct. Multiple officers and the extra patrol squad responded to the area
but the suspects could not be located. At this time it appears two vehicle were entered but
nothing was taken from either car.
20-1725-Tampering-Savonne Court Two male subjects entered unlocked
vehicles. Nothing was taken from the vehicles. The suspects fled and entered an
unknown vehicle.
20-1726-Destruction of Property-San Angelo Persons unknown kicked the front
door of a residence causing damage to the door. No suspects or video at this time.

20-1728 Fraud: Victim reported that her stolen credit card, stolen in Maryland Heights, had
been used at the Chesterfield Target.
20-1729 Assault: Two customers at Sam’s Club pushed each other over a disagreement about
social distancing. Video revealed the instigator who was issued a SIL.

and stated they discovered $1100.00 in cash missing from one of their vehicles.

20-1734 Theft of a Firearm / Poss. of Controlled Substance / UUW, etc. - SEU officers
arrested a subject from Wal-Mart for the theft of a flare gun and flares. He was also in
possession of methamphetamine. Warrants to be applied for.

20-1747/1749 (10-50/DWI) – A vehicle ran off the road on west bound 64 at Spirit of St. Louis
over pass hitting both support pillars. The driver was not injured but investigation revealed he
was intoxicated. Breath test results were a .117 BAC.

20-1759: DRUG/CURFEW VIO-Kehrs Mill Rd: Officers responded to a call for a Flourishing
In Progress. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile in Possession of Marijuana and
Paraphernalia. The Flourishing and Weapon was Unfounded. Parents were notified and juvenile
was released from scene. Report will be forwarded to the juvenile Detective

20-1765- Drug arrest- Officer found occupant of vehicle on traffic stop to be in possession of
drug paraphernalia. Summons issued.
20-1767- Lost article report taken for victim who stated that she accidently left her wallet on the
top of her car and drove away.
