The Refugee Law Iniave, School of Advanced Study, University of London is pleased to again be partnering with Commonwealth Scholarships to offer ten full scholarships for the October 2020 intake to our MA in Refugee Protecon and Forced Migraon Studies (taught part-me and by distance learning).

Funded Funded by the UK Department for Internaonal Development (DFID), Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships enable talented and movated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those unable to study in the UK for financial and other

reasons.

This This year, applicants must be from one of the following countries: Bangladesh, Cameroon, Eswani, The Gambia, Ghana, Guyana, India, Kenya, Kiriba, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, and Zambia. Individual candidates will be selected on the basis of interest/experience with refugees cizenship and statelessness; finanical need; outstanding academic merit or potenal

(demonstrated parcularly by past achievements); and knowledge-transfer and development potenal.

This MA in This MA in Refugee Protecon and Forced Migraon Studies has quickly become one of the largest programmes on forced migraon in the world. It enables students to acquire a rigorous legal, praccal and theorecal understanding of refugee protecon and forced migraon, whilst developing experse

through a choice of elecve modules.

AppliApplicants will be required to submit an applicaon to the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship scheme through the applicaon portal by 13 April 2020 (opens on 2 March 2020). Applicants must

already have been offered a place on our MA Programme, so we recommend that applicaons for the MA programme reach us by 23 March 2020.
