Version 3.2.1 uses the DeviceAgent feature to provide basic monitoring support for the Westell DSP85 Digital Repeater component of an in-building wireless system. Contact Westell, Inc. Technical Services for the necessary DeviceAgent profile document.

New Features

77100 -- Changes to Alarms Affecting Uptime

Version 3.2.1 makes the following changes to alarms which affect DAS uptime calculations:

All ODU Optic Module and RDU DL Output Low 1 alarm types will now be reported as outages when calculating uptime. ODU Optic Module alarm types also will display as a higher priority level in Optima Site View than previously.

All Neutral Host GPS alarm types will be reported as Priority 1 in Optima Site View.

For the JMA Teko, the following alarms will now be included in uptime calculations:

Mains Fault

Rx Optical High

Rx Optical Low

77123 -- Device Agent Static NE Attributes

Version 3.2.1 enhances the Device Agent feature by allowing static NE attributes to be set for the network element. These attributes will include vendor, model, softwareVersion, firmwareVersion, hardwareVersion, and serialNumber.

77139 -- Tower Light Versions Set As NE Attributes

Version 3.2.1 presents tower light versions as NE attributes. Tower light versions are no longer presented as informational alarms. See the example below:

Version 3.2.1 supports Commscope’s ION-U firmware version 1.80.

76511 -- Attribute Updates on MobileAccess SC-450

Version 3.2.1 includes a correction so that the softwareVersion attribute is updated on inventory sync after an SC-450 software update.

77276 -- Non-printable characters in JMA subrack name cause sync failure in Optima

Certain non-ASCII characters read from name fields on a JMA Teko DAS could prevent that system from being synchronized in Optima. Non-ASCII characters are now stripped.

Known Issues

77277 -- SPX Vanguard SNMP Tower Light does not support discrete alarming

The SPXVanguardSNMP Tower Light was originally designed for use in Direct Connect where discrete alarms are not supported. It is possible that users could configure this type in a Remote-monitored site. Version 3.2.1 is able to monitor the Vanguard via SNMP and report alarms successfully on a Remote. However, it would not fall back to discrete alarming during loss of intelligent communication. This is common functionality in the other Tower Light types

The discrete alarm fallback will be added to the SPXVanguardSNMP Tower Light type in a future version.
