UTS APPLICATIONS FOR LNG IMPORT FACILITIESONSHORE REGASIFICATION The UTS® system safely transfers LNG between an LNG carrier and and onshore regasifica-tion plant. Regardless if the terminal onshore is atmospheric or pressurized, the UTS is the preferred transfer solution.

OFFSHORE REGASIFICATIONThe UTS® can be used to transfer LNG between an LNGC and a regasification unit, or to transfer pressurized gas between a regasification unit and an onshore pipe grid.

FLOATING STORAGE UNITA completely floating solution can be obtained by combining the UTS system with an FSU. This can be an enabling solution in the case where it is difficult to get permits for an onshore terminal.

A full leasing option can also be introduced by bundling the UTS with an FSU, hence reducing the initial investment hurdle.

POWER BARGEIn order to simplify the mooring arrangement of the power barge, the UTS can be introduced as the link connecting the LNGC to the power barge. Hence, there will be no need for an extensive mooring arrangement for the barge capable of handling the massive forces from an LNGC. It also provides a welcome safety separation distance between the two floating installations.

OFFSHORE AND NEARSHORE TERMINALAn alternative to placing the storage tanks onshore, is to place the tanks on a barge or a gravity-based structure close to shore. In case the LNGC cannot get close enough to the barge for traditional ship-to-ship transfer due to water depth constraints, the UTS can be utilized to transfer LNG safely between the LNGC and the near shore terminal.

SHIP-TO-SHIP TRANSFERFor operations where ship-to-ship transfer with aerial hoses is difficult, the UTS can be implemented to increase the uptime for the operation by separating the two vessels.

UTS APPLICATIONS FOR LNG EXPORT FACILITIESFLOATING LNG TERMINAL The UTS may be installed at an FLNG terminal, hence enabling tandem offloading of LNG between the FLNG facility and both small and large scale LNGCs.

ONSHORE EXPORT TERMINAL The UTS can be connected to an existing export terminal, in order to expand the berthing facilities with a plug & play solution both for large and small scale LNGCs.

LNG RE-LOADING At an existing LNG import terminal, the UTS can be installed to accommodate LNG loading of both small and large scale LNGCs. It is also possible to connect the UTS to an existing jetty to accommodate small-scale LNGCs.

LONG DISTANCE UTSSUBSEA PIPE + UTS PLATFORM In case the distance between the onshore terminal and the LNGC is more than 800 meters, we recommend to install subsea pipes in combination with the UTS platform.

UTS APPLICATIONS FOR LNG BUNKERING Small and flexible UTS units can easily be installed in rivers and other areas for bunkering of in-land or other vessels powered by LNG.
