1 APOCALYPTIC THEN PILOT SCRIPT SCENE 1- EXT BARRENWASTELAND ACT 1

The camera pans out to show 2 people in a mostly barrenwasteland of what formerly was a busy highway, one a paleman with a disheveled and dirty face in his late teens, ofnordic descent around 60 to 62 height and somewhatchubby, he has a backpack bulging out with items inside ofit. The other is also a man but much more tan, somewherearound the size of 59 to 511, a lot thinner and dresseda lot more professionally, he doesnt have a backpack buthe is carrying around a large briefcase.

The pale one takes out a pair of binoculars as the camerachanges to the perspective of a scope.

TAN MAN(inquisitive)

You seeing anything man?

The scoping of the binoculars continue as he looks uponthe barren highway, full of rusted cars and not a personin sight.

PALE MAN(unsure)

Not sure, all i see is a bunch ofrusted out junkheaps but whoknows.

The PALE MAN puts the binoculars back in his backpack, andtakes out a medium sized revolver, as the tan man looks athim with a reluctant look on his face.

TAN MAN(flustered)

Come on JORDAN, do you reallyneed that?

JORDAN, does a double take as if to give the TAN MAN a"are you serious look"

JORDAN(dubiously)

You say that now, but id ratherget grief from you than a bulletin me.

TAN MAN(defeatedly)

Ok you win man holding the gun,just try to avoid shooting me ifyou can.

JORDAN does a smirk at his friend

JORDAN(encouragingly/humorous)

Lets get moving then DAVE,wouldnt want your beautiful faceto get a little burnt by the sun.

JORDAN and DAVE start moving through the highway, JORDANis taking lead with his pistol checking all of the cars.they all seem to be completely empty until they find acaravan with some water jugs in it and miscelleanous fooditems.

JORDAN(gleeful)

Miracles dont happen much thesedays, but this is a miracle ifive seen one.

DAVE(agreeing)

She sure is a beauty buddy, yougot that right.

DAVE opens it up and puts the items in his seeminglybottomless pit of a briefcase.

JORDAN(shit-eating grin happiness)

Look at our lucky day Davie, thisis a great day to be us, which isa very uncommon occurence.

DAVE(confident)

Dont worry man, things arealways looking up.

DAVE finishes putting the items in his briefcase withJORDAN looking out to make sure no one is around. theyclose up the car and start walking away from the myriad ofvehicles. JORDAN stops DAVE, and looks worried.

JORDAN(curious)

So what now man? it seems likewere just going from place toplace, i know it being in themiddle of the fucking desert imnot in the ideal place to have anexistential crisis but imgetting a little panicky.

DAVE(reassuring)

Its ok man, dont worry. Letsjust make our way back to thecar, and we can go from there. Iknow things seem a little crazyand scattered right now but wellfigure things out.

JORDAN(secure)

Alright man, whatever you say. iguess i just get worried thatwere kind of going nowhereslowly.

DAVE says nothing but verbally nods and pats him on theback, they continue walking more or less non-verbal untilthey get near the car.

The MYSTERY MAN is sitting in front of their car , has a500$ haircut, and a suit that you would not even want toknow how much it cost. Hes holding an assault rifle, heisnt exactly pointing it at the men but hes also not notpointing it at the two travelers. He is of similar heightto JORDAN, but very muscular and very well groomed.

JORDAN(furious and murderous)

GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE BEFORE IBLAST OFF YOUR HEAD YOU FUCK

DAVE(INTENSE)

The MYSTERY MAN chuckled slightly

2 INT- LARGE METALLIC ROOM, VERY OPEN WITH ONLY A FEW PEOPLEINSIDE

JORDAN and DAVE are looking unsettled, the other 3characters are of assorted appearance, the other 3characters are all adults in their mid 20 to late 20s,one is black, one is asian and one is white. Suddenly adoor opens

All 5 of the characters get up from their casual leaningagainst the wall and present themself in front of the man.

DRAKEEase up dudes! dont look soserious, i know im worth morethan all 5 of you combinedmultiplied by 10 but theres noreason to look so serious. Im afun guy!

JORDAN and DAVE chuckle a bit, but the rest of the peoplestill look as serious and intent as before.

DRAKEI like you guys! you seem fun,not like mr. grump pants, mr. nofun, and mrs. stick in the mud!

Drake looks over at the other three smiling slyly

DRAKEIm just kidding man! Anyways, iprobably should just cut the shitas youre all busy and possiblymurderous men and womenrespectively. Anyways if youdidnt know already, my namesDrake Cisco and i have a businessproposition for all of you finefeathered friends.

Drake looks completely serious and waits a minute, andthen laughs boisterously.

A woman with a headset and a professional looking dresswalks through frantically holding very well sized boxes,five of them one for each of the people in the room.

She hands them out individually to each one of them, theyall are of a indrustial metal with a little latch thatneeds to be unlatched. JORDAN is the first person to openit and he looks inside

The box contains a waiver, a pen, a very high-tech watch,and a futuristic looking gun, its a 12mm pistol with aglowing design and a first aid kit. JORDAN grabs the watchand pistol, putting the watch on his wrist and feeling itcalibrate.

When it calibrates, it shows his vital signs and otherhealth based information appear on the watchs lcd screenas he hears a BEEP.

JORDAN smiles and laughs, hes amazed by this technlogy.

JORDANMan, thats really cool. But youcant be just giving this to usto be a nice and charitable guyare you?

DRAKEWell you did catch me there, youwill be embarking on a little bitof a "dangerous operation." Andwhile i can assure you itsnothing too bad, before you leaveyou need to sign those waivers.its not like its a big deal,but its just in case some banditrips off your forearm andbludgeons you to death with it,we can say "well you signed thiswaiver saying you accepted thatthis hilarious but awful eventcould occur."

DRAKE slyly smiles to show his joking nature.

DRAKE looks happy almost a childlike glee, he grins andwatches in silence as they sign their waivers.

The group of characters finish signing their waivers, theyhand it over to SAMANTHA who has been sitting awkwardly inthe corner for the duration of this meeting. And they allhead off to go outside.

3 INT- OFFICE BUILDING FULL OF WORKERS INSIDE OF LARGERINDRUSTIAL BUILDING.

DRAKEWell, i guess before you leave togo off to a daunting task ishould show you the innerworkings of Eclipse. We havequite the workhorse staff here,dont try talking to them though,theyre much too busy making memillions upon billions of dollarsto talk.

DRAKE turns back to the mercs and gives a shit-eatinggrin.

DAVE

SO I GUESS SINCE I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASK, WHAT DOESECLIPSE ACTUALLY EVEN DO? LIKE ALL I KNOW IS THAT YOU GUYSMAKE "TECHNLOGY" AND ARE "INNOVATORS". BUT WHAT DOES THATMEAN?

While still walking through the busy office passingseveral high-tech computer stations with very stressedlooking twenty somethings DRAKE speaks back to DAVE

DRAKEHonestly, id love to tell youthat i know what we do and im inthe loop about it but im so farremoved i dont even know myself.We could literally be aninvestment banking company atthis point, all i know is that wemake a lot of money and theressomething with technlogy. Once ifigure out more ill let you knowhow about that man?

DAVE looks befuddled but appreciative of his honestydespite the fact it makes DRAKE look a bit dumb.

DRAKE and the company of merry mercs make their way to theback of the office building to a door that marks its wayof leading outside.

4 EXT,OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE BUILDING, IN A JUNGLE LIKE AREA,VERY MUDDY AND FULL OF VEGETATION.

Beginning of Act 2

Subtle lonely guitar scoring begins as the aerial pan ofthe terrain begins

They examine the car, its almost a lincoln towncar oftypes but turned into a humvee, in the front it has theunmistakable appearance of one but in the back it has a mgmounted on it.

5 INT LINCOLN TOWNCAR/HUMVEE HYBRID

JORDAN enters the driver seat.

The key is already in the car, and JORDAN revs up theengine

JORDANMan! this sounds awesome!

JORDAN grins as DAVE jumps in the passenger seat next tohim.

DAVEI agree! for a machine of deathits pretty fancy.

DAVE opens the glovebox and rifles through the dossierpapers given by DRAKE.

the ASIAN WOMAN and THE DRUGGIE are looking around, sheseems not entirely impressed and he seems too dazed in hisown world to really care.

and finally the BLACK MAN jumps in the back and armshimself on the mg turret.

DAVE is looking through the files and papers left byDRAKE, while JORDAN prepares to start driving, as ifwaiting for DAVEs lead.

CLOSE UP:ON JORDANS FACE LOOKING @ DAVE

JORDANSo you got any clue where thefuck we going senor dave?

DAVE looks playfully flustered and looks back at JORDAN.

Almost as a beck and call The BLACK MAN sees everyonetalking inside so he knocks on the window separator andJORDAN lets it down so he can hear them.

DAVEWell to be honest, at least tospeak on my behalf im scared todeath of you and you seem likeyou wouldnt want to be part ofit but if TONY vouches for youim good.

The BLACK MAN starts to smile and laughs reaches for hispocket. He takes a pack of cigs out of his pocket, takesone out, and leaves it open waving them out to the othermercs. They all take one and light their cigarettes,JORDAN takes out a metal lighter with some mysteriousingravings, Dave takes out a cheap plastlc lighter coveredin symbols, Alyssa just takes out a regular black lighterwith nothing special on it and TONY being the macgyver heis takes a match and drags it across his mysterious shoescreating a spark and lighting his cig.

Well i hope i proved mycharitable nature? 6 EXT DIRT ROAD ON ROUTE TO ABANDONED DEPOT BUILDING

All of the mercs start getting in place for the operation,and DAVE is nowhere to be found.

JORDANMe and Alyssa are in place, ithink everythings in order. waitone second, where the fuck diddave go?

DAVEListen, my buddies were going tobe aggressive with you and ithought that was completelyunnecessary so i thought wedjust discuss this like a coupleof reasonable gentleman orwhatever you all are i honestlyhave no idea.

DAVE is standing with his hands on his hips and talking toblood-stained bandits with forest animal face-masks thatcover them, theyre wearing rugged clothing that obviouslyhasnt been washed in months more likely years and theyreholding big carving knifes and hatchets, though theirfacial impressions are impossible to tell you get a "crazyand fucked up" vibe from them.

UNKNOWN BANDIT #1YOU HAVE PRETTY EYEBALLS

UNKNOWN BANDIT #2YES, WOULD MAKE A DELICIOUSSPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE!

UNKNOWN BANDIT #3HAHA WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOUREYEBALLS.

The BANDITS start brandishing their weapons as if to tellDAVE "hello we are going to mutilate you."

DAVE(muttering)

Youre not a bad person Dave,youre ok.

DAVE reluctantly takes out his nickel-plated 9MM and dueto the fact hes within breathing distance he doesnt evenhave to aim. They all freeze up when they see his gun buthe still pulls the trigger three times as you hear a BANG,BANG, BANG.

DAVE starts tailing ass back behind some nearby cover.

DAVE(yelling)

OK GUYS YOU CAN START YOUR PLANNOW, HOPE THAT HELPED.

MARSHALL grins his ass off and JORDAN shakes his head athim.

MARSHALL starts firing down upon the open ground filledwith bandits coming out from the building to focusattention away from his fellow mercs.

TONY Starts lining up shots from the tree and taking themdown with expertise thats only learned from meticulouspractice.

ALYSSA and JORDAN start running out guns blazing, seeingDAVE nearby seemingly safe despite splattered with blood.

The two of them stop running and take cover behind rustedout car.

ALYSSAThat was pretty ballsy of yourbro to do that, i gotta give itto him.

JORDAN looks slightly miffed at that comment

JORDANHe didnt do it to be "ballsy",he did it because he thought hehad to. Who knows what hellreact after were done here.

ALYSSA shoots him a ridiculous look like "what the fuckare you talking about?" and recatches her breath, thencontinues to shoot running towards the remaining bandits.

Simultaneously while this is happening, at the vehicle yousee MARSHALL firing out of the turret and you hear asudden CLICK and no more bullets come out.

MARSHALLFUCK THE BELT IS OUT ON THETURRET, IM GONNA STAY BEHINDWITH TONY AND WATCH THE CAR, ANDOR MAKE SURE NONE OF YOU GET ICEDIN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. GOODLUCK KNUCKLEHEADS!

OVER THE SHOULDER:OF TONY IN THE TREE WITH A CIG IN HISMOUTH WAVING BYE TO THE THREE MERCS GOING INTO THE DEPOT.

7 EXT. OUTSIDE OF ABANDONED DEPOT

DAVE looks very uneasy, ALYSSA has a bloodlust in her eyesand JORDAN is looking gleeful.

DAVEYou guys look way too happy, whoknows who could be inside of thatdepot? arent you afraid?

JORDAN looks back at DAVE with the most serious look hehas had so far.

MEDIUM CLOSE UP:ON JORDANS FACE AND UPPER BODY INRESPONSE

JORDANListen man, im too busy stayingalive to be worried about any ofthis. Am i anxious that amethed-up bandit will dome me andmake sweet love to my medullaoblangata? of course, im humanbut we got a job to do my friend.

ALYSSA actually seems to be listening to her fellow gunfor hire and chicken diplomat and seems entertained by hisstatement

DAVE nods silently at him as if to show a silentunderstanding and stiffens up some.

DAVE visibly shudders a little bit upon stepping over adead body but continues walking with ALYSSA & JORDAN.

The Mercs look in awe at this huge depot building, it wasalmost like a skyscraper in size but it looks soindrustial, its covered in layers of tough metal, and hasmany windows and levels to show that once many peopleworked in this now vacant of productivity palace.

ALYSSAWow, this thing is an impressivedevotion to spending as muchmoney as possible on onebuilding. You have to admire thearrogance a bit at least.

Act 3 Begins

The room is like the front room of a clinic of some form,tons of chairs around and an office in front that leadback to another room. It has a very eerie vibe and is asabandoned looking as the outside of it appears.

The two mercs turn to each other as if to show a creepedout nature.

JORDANSo you getting as much of theheebie jeebies from this place asi am?

DAVEIndeedy i am.

JORDANWell fuck it man, we gotta go inthere. Its an office, i bet itswhere we can find the files weneed and then we can leave thisshitty place.

DAVEWas that really necessary?

JORDANCan you just let me be an actionhero for once?

DAVE shakes his head to show how embarrassed he is for him

9 INT. OFFICE INSIDE OF DEPOT BUILDING

They enter a office, theres a front booth with severalcubicles, it appeared to once be a human resources office.Though unfortunately it is now covered in the blood,plasma, and or guts of former Eclipse employees.

The office is a disaster, all the files are splayed aroundand blood covers everything. It appeared that bandits weretrying to find a bartering chip before the mercs endedtheir unfortunate lives

JORDANWe gonna talk about how fucked upthis is?

DAVEProbably better if we donthonestly. Lets just find what weneed, like you said. We have ajob to do.

DAVE looked up at the camera (piveted to presume he islooking at JORDAN. They heard a BANG noise outside butthey knew they needed to look through this office.

JORDANSo what the fuck are we evenlooking for?

DAVE reaches into one of his suit pockets, you hear aRUFFLING of papers as he looks through the dossier.

In the office background from the video transmitting ontheir watches, he has many valuables. gold statueseverywhere, a pearl white bust made out of a tough stonematerial resembling his likeness, on his desk is a fruitbowl full of different fruits, mostly apples and a veryintricate looking computer, though its more of a machine.and finally in the background you see his window, its ahuge window and it has a luscious view and you can see thebottom many stories down.

CLOSE UP: ON DRAKES FACE, AS IF THE VIEWER IS LOOKINGTHROUGH THE PROTAGONISTS WATCH

DRAKEIt feels like so long since wevetalked guys, even though it wasjust a bit earlier that i hiredyou guys. I like to think thatour conversation had an effect onyou and maybe you look at me as amentor or even a father figure.

DRAKE looked serious while delivering that information butnow has a sly smile on his face like he has a secret hejust cant wait to reveal.

The scene resumes from the first scene in which JORDAN andDRAKE are in a somewhat passive form of a standoff.

DRAKE looks very passive, hes not afraid of being shot byJORDAN but also hes making it clear he didnt come tofight.
