**Cheating: online translators are not to be used. They are considered cheating. If there are sentences written that I know you are not capable of writing, I will assume you either used an online translator or another person to do your work, which can also result in a zero. This work is to be done individually. Your work should NOT look like another student’s. You do NOT need to copy directly from the story

ASSIGNMENT – Journal Entries HANDwrite 10 Journal entries, one page each (about 1 per week of the summer). In each entry you will write in Spanish about: a) what you did that day/week/weekend b) a recent news story in Spanish from that week and your opinion on the matter. **Either include email me the link to all 10 articles or write it at the end of your summary. You could also print out the article and turn it in. c) what your upcoming plans are in the next few days and any random thoughts on life, love, etc. The goal is to get you thinking and writing in Spanish on a weekly basis about every day things and current events.

Requirements: -each entry is ONE page long in YOUR OWN Spanish words. -include the date at the top -include your news source. (email links, write it at bottom or print out) -turn in the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for a quiz grade Here are some great SPANISH news websites. These would be good for you to read anyways as you will read articles from these websites this year in AP Spanish. You can also search for other Spanish news sites.

Hasta ahora no me he dado cuenta de quién era,¿cómo he podido estar tan ciega?

Some words are review from Spanish 2-4 and some are new. I recommend you review 50-70 a week. Also study highlighted vocab on the stories.
The test will be multiple choice.
Many questions will be asking you what category a word belongs to. árbol c. ballena d. burro e. caballo
Another study tip is to pay attention to synonyms.
