There has been growing interest in self-healing crack repairs
using
“inorganic” materials, which is more cost-effective and durable
than any
organic repair materials (epoxy or urethane). When concrete
experiences
cracks, whatever the cause, it heals by itself using the
remaining
anhydrous cement existing within the concrete.
