Dear 3BC Family,

As we enter the second month ofsummer I want to say thanks for yourfaithful attendance and givingthrough the summer months. Manyof us are very busy with trips, athletics, and other summer activities.Yet, you encourage me and otherswhen you’re here. Before we knowit, the kids will be back in school andwe’ll be back to our regularschedules. Let’s finish up July strongand carry that momentum intoAugust.

I hope you’ll notice the Sundayschedule for July 5. With July 4falling on Saturday, many of our folkswill be out of town. So we’ll haveour regular worship gathering at 9:15a.m. But instead of our two LIFEGroup hours, we’ll have a pre-worship time of fellowship starting at8:30 a.m. in the lower lobby. We’llhave some light refreshments andenjoying hanging out together beforewe go into the worship center. Ifyou’re in town, I hope you’ll join usand bring a friend!

With summer in full swing, I noticein my neighborhood more peopletaking walks, working in their yards, and generally more visible thanusual. Dena and I are trying to beintentional in talking with these folksand getting to know them better.

I hope you will do the same. As thestatistics tell us that more and morepeople aren’t coming to church,we’ve got to be out in the communitytalking with people and buildingrelationships with them. So let’scontinue to engage people with agenuine love for them thatoverflows from our love forJesus.

And as you engage thesepeople, don’t forget toinvite them to attendchurch with you.Statistics continue toreveal that unchurchedpeople are receptive to aninvitation to attend church if itcomes from a friend. So let’smake some friends and askthem to attend.

Our God is still a God who loves tosave sinners. No matter howhardened the culture becomestowards the gospel, there are stillmany in our city who will trust Christas Lord and Savior. The questionisn’t the power of God to savesinners. The question is will weshare this good news with people?

As Romans 10 reminds us, how willthey hear without a preacher? Godhas placed you in this city and givenyou a platform so that you can makemuch of Jesus. Will you?

May our LordJesus Christ richlybless you and yourfamily. And may He bless 3BC as wehelp people discover a life worthliving in Jesus.

Your Pastor by His Grace and Yours,

Mike Lee, Pastor
