This is me... I love art. Throughout high school I gained an artistic voice

and a new passion to create. I grew as an artist a lot the past

Few years. My sustained investigation pushed me to be more

Experimental and creative. I wanted to express my life through

My art while keeping everything cohesive. My theme of my

Portfolio did just that, “My Life Through A Car”.

My sustained investigationMy theme is “my life through a car”

When I was trying to come up with a theme I wanted to do something that gave me artistic freedom. I wanted portraits, landscapes and objects. It’s hard to have all those things in one cohesive investigation. One day I was in my car and I started taking pictures of the outside and thought to myself this is perfect. Having my investigation being through a car it gave me many options and creative freedom.

THE END“An artists only concern is to shoot for some kind of perfection, and it is his own, not anyone else’s.”

This quote really spoke to me this year. It helped me realize that my art is my own. I was always self conscious about what others thought of my art. I wouldn’t show it to a lot of people and rarely considered myself as an artist. But this year I found my own voice and learned to seek my definition of “perfection”. I learned to be proud of my work which really helped my creativity and the development of my artwork and investigation.
