The Story finding your story in God’s story

Wednesday Nights: 6:30—8 pm Starts September 16 and

Monday Mornings: 10—11:30 am Starts September 14

The Story is a book of selections from the Bible, arranged chronologically, that reads like a novel. During this unique 31-week experience, every member of the family, parents through teens, will read their own version of The Story.

On Wednesday nights, adults will meet in the Chapel, high school and middle school students will meet in the Student Center, and children will gather in the FaithKids classrooms. Age related material from The Story will be presented in all children and student classes and parents will be provided with related material to take home. This offers families the unique experience of every family member reading their own age related version of The Story at the same time. This is a great opportunity for family discussions since every family member will be literally on the same page for 31 weeks.

Life Groups (Small Groups) will also be participating in The Story journey during their scheduled meetings. For more information on Life Groups or The Story, contact Don Hanney at 248-689-4713 x300 or [email protected].

Books will be provided to all class participants at no charge. Additional materials, not required for the class, will be available in our BookStore. Register on our website or call 248.689.4713 x455.

Our American Founding Thursdays: September 17—November 5 6—9 pm The Declaration and Constitution formed the pillars upon

which the liberties and rights of the American people stand, in this nation under God. United they have guided history’s first self-governing nation under certain universal and eternal principles. Today, their integrity and unity are under attack. Many have sought to minimize or discard the Constitution and to redefine the Declaration to justify government outside its intended limits. As a result, both documents have been weakened, their influence diminished, and their meaning obscured—paving the way for the modern administrative state, unaccountable to the will of the people or rule of law. Utilizing Larry Arnn’s “The Founders Key” (2013 paperback) and relying on original documentation, we will explore this and many other aspects of our nation’s founding with emphasis upon our role as citizens in securing the God-given liberties of all. Cost: $7 for the book available at the first session. Register on our website. Facilitator: Fred Kummer
