Animal health certificate of export (CZE)
It is issued byofficial Veterinarians,according tointernationalguidelines.
Article 49 LFSA.- Exporters shall request to theMinistry the expedition of the CZE, when it isrequired by the country of destination.
Article 50 LFSA.- The Ministry will issue theCZE, when the goods have meet all therequirements.

Background
• Before 1995 by hand
• 1995‐2004 by a computer program:– The same format– Installed in each computer– Catalogue of certifications– It allowed to make other certificationsnot included in catalogues.
• 2005‐ To date by a computer system– On line– Administered at central offices, available over the internet with custom keys.
– The same certificates for all offices– There is NO possibility that state offices include new combinations.
– Any issued certificate can be consulted on line
Background
Common problems withCertificates in Import process
In certificates:
1. False certificates
2. Use of abbreviations /not agreed or negotiated texts or do not
comply with requested certifications.
3. Are not in Spanish (usually English)
4. Official certificates without seals.
5. Certificates written by hand or typewriter, or mixed.
6. Imprecise certifications.

7. Strikethrough certifications (some countries certify what it is
strikethrough and others vice versa)
8. Certificates issued by local, state or private organizations that
should only be issued by official veterinary authorities.
