  • Responsive Prayer Lord Jesus, King of the Church, you know from your experience the pain and suffering that ministry in this fallen world can involve. You came to your own people and your own people did not accept you. You knew misunderstanding, hatred and rejection while ministering. You felt the ultimate rejection of humankind at the cross. You warned your disciples that if the world hated you, it would also hate them. And you have told us that we also must share in your sufferings, that we too might be rejected when we serve in your name. And so we ask, gracious Lord, for passion to stand for what is right and true, for courage to remain firm when the going is tough, for the ability to love when we are not loved back, for protection when evil plots threaten us, for words from your Spirit when we must answer, for wisdom to consider suffering for righteousness a worthy cause, and for mercy to sustain us when our strength is gone. Hear us our Lord, and be near to us, until the final day of victory when you return. Amen. Affirmation We believe in the triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who gathers, protects and cares for the church through Word and Spirit. This, God has done since the beginning of the World and will do to the end. We believe that in obedience to Jesus Christ, its only head, the church is called to confess and to do all these things, even though the authorities and human laws might forbid them and punishment and suffering be the consequence. Jesus is Lord. To the one and only God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be the honor and the glory forever and ever. Amen. Belhar Confession, articles 1 and 5

  • Welcome to online worship with Faith Community Fellowship! We pray for God’s presence and blessing on you today and throughout the week as we continue to shelter at home. We pray that you stay connected to others and are hanging in there! Congregational Meeting: All voting members should have received an email last week with all documents necessary for review prior to our congregational meeting on May 17th. If you are a voting member in good standing and did not receive this information, please email Sheri at the office as soon as possible so she can send the information to you right away. IF you are unable to attend the meeting virtually via ZOOM (see more details below), please email the office to request an absentee ballot. May 17 Congregational Meeting will be held on Zoom shortly after the worship service. In addition to attending the meeting with your smart phone, tablet or computer, you can also access the meeting from a phone #. Watch for information and the link to join online. It is especially important for all voting members to be part of this meeting for church business to be conducted. Thanks for your participation in this process. The deacons continue to help those in the congregation who find themselves with financial challenges due to COVID-19 and the resulting economic downturn with job layoffs, reduced hours, or businesses closing down. We want to help you! Please reach out to the deacons or to Pastor Matt if you find yourself in need of any kind: medical bills, buying groceries, paying utility bills. We are here for you!

From the deacons: Thank you all for your giving! As of May 8th, our General Fund Income (including rent income) is $133,863.95 which is 84.4% of what was budgeted. Our total expenses amount to $133,390.74 which is 82.5% of what was budgeted. So the good news is that our income is meeting our expenses at this time. We are so thankful for you all in your support of our church. Benevolence giving is also very generous! We pray that we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in meeting the needs of others during this particularly difficult time. Missions collections is at about 78.2% of the targeted goal of the Missions Committee. Again, given the time we are living in, we are thankful that our obligations can be met. We thank you for your very generous giving and your participation in the business of the church and in the ministries we are privileged to walk alongside. Stay connected with Faith on our Facebook page, prayer group (If you would like to join a prayer meeting, please contact Pastor Matt for the
