“God is rich in mercy,
because of His boundless love for us.” Ephesians 2:4 tells us God’s
love knows no boundaries and neither does St. Mary of the Lakes.
New parishioners, regardless of where they live, are welcome and
encouraged to register at our parish. Registration forms are
available at the doors of the church, in the parish office, and on our
website at smlparish.org. Click on contact us/registration.

Saturdays after 9:00 a.m. Mass and at 4:30 p.m. You may also call the parish office to make an appointment for a different time.

Bishop Robert Barron’s Catholicism: The Pivotal Players showcases a handful of saints, artists, mystics, and scholars who not only shaped the life of the Church but also changed the course of Western civilization.
For the next five weeks, we will journey with Bishop Barron on Wednesday mornings at 10:15 a.m. in the Emmaus Center to understand how St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Catherine of
Siena, Blessed John Henry Newman, G.K. Chesterton and Michelangelo influenced our world and Faith. Materials can be ordered at https://www.wordonfire.org/resources/studyprogram/catholicism-the-pivotal-players---study-guide/5195/ but it’s not necessary to purchase the book ($24.95) to attend. Everyone is welcome.
Scheduled study for each Pivotal Player:
June 14th St. Thomas Aquinas
June 21st Saint Catherine of Siena
June 28th Blessed John Henry Newman
July 5th G. K. Chesterton
Next week, Operation Peter bookmarks will be available in the pews. Take one home and follow the steps on how to help bring others to Christ. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother, Peter...and he brought him to Jesus. (John 1:41-42)
Operation Peter is a program designed to help Catholics reach out to people they know—Catholic or not—who need Jesus Christ. It is a step-by-step process on how to help others come to a more fulfilling life by encountering the one who loves them: Jesus.

This weekend, we are asking every family to join us in participating in the Our Faith. Our Family. Our Future. campaign. Giving freely of ourselves – whether it is a gift of our time, our talent, or our treasure – isn’t always easy or comfortable. It is a decision of faith, and it is the result of much prayer and self-sacrifice, as we consider our many blessings and our responsibility to use them wisely in the service of the Lord. As a reminder, our goal is to raise a minimum of $2,750,000 to address the following parish needs:
Catholic Education: $886,500
Underwrite projected capital maintenance needs in the school which may include updating the roof, carpeting, windows, the HVAC system, etc. Increase the reserve fund for Catholic education Purchase a 15-passenger van to provide transportation for parishioners and students alike
Life of the Parish Upgrades: $600,000
Reconfigure the parish offices and meeting rooms Replace the HVAC system Upgrade the Emmaus Center kitchen Install a security system in the church
Eucharistic Adoration Chapel (as funds allow): $105,000
Examples of Gift Plans over 60 months $250 per month given over 60 months equals $15,000! $167 per month given over 60 months equals $10,000! $100 per month given over 60 months equals $6,000! $50 per month given over 60 months equals $3,000!
If you have not already done so, I hope you will join me in making a sacrificial gift to Our Faith. Our Family. Our Future. Thank you to all who have given to make our campaign a success. Together, we will meet the challenges of our future and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. I look forward to announcing our campaign total next week. Thank you all and may God bless you.

Please include this undertaking in your prayers.
We can help the Church increase the number of priests if we pray for vocations by using our Pray for Vocations icon of the Mother of the Eternal High Priest. Sign the roster on the bulletin board outside the sacristy if you can participate. Praying this month are the Sarsfield, Dougherty, Hess, Andryca, Bell and Waldt families.
The Glory to God Prayer Group meets every Tuesday from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the Emmaus Center. For information, contact Marianne Perkins at (609) 760-9221 or [email protected].

Our Little Disciples Ministry will host its first event on Friday, June 16th, with the movie, Brother Francis: Let’s Pray the Rosary which will be shown on the parish front lawn. Event begins at 6:30 p.m. Movie begins at 7:00 p.m. Pizza and popcorn will be offered, too! Bring lawn chairs
and/or blankets for sitting. Children will be given glow-in-the-dark rosaries and will take part in some activities. Led by Laura and Francis Roettger, Little Disciples is a family ministry for younger children (toddlers and up). RSVP to [email protected].
Every other year, the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) invites Catholic youth and chaperones to encounter Christ, experience Church, and be empowered for discipleship.
They come together to pray, learn, and grow in faith, receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and penance, attend general and break-out sessions relevant to discipleship in today’s world, and visit with organizations that offer resources and support to youth and youth ministry. They also, spend time in personal and communal prayer and engage in service to others.
This year, SML is considering putting together a group of young disciples interested in attending the NCYC conference to learn more about living as Christ calls us to live.
The conference is scheduled for November 16-19 in Indianapolis. The estimated cost is $950.00 per person, including air, lodging, and meals. The parish will pay half for each participant, who then would be responsible to pay the other half of the cost.
Participants will be expected to fundraise to help defray costs. If you are a teen in our parish in grades 9-12 and want more information, contact Parish Youth Minister Linda T. Xerri at [email protected] or call Extension 111.
Registration deadline is June 26th, so there is a short window of time to determine if we will send a group to this year’s Conference along with other parishes in the Diocese.
Brianna McNally, a graduating senior at Seneca High School and a member of SML’s Y.E.S. Ministry, will receive the Diocese’ St. Timothy Award at today’s special Graduate Mass and Awards ceremony at Noon. Each year, the Diocesan Department of Evangelization and Family Life bestows the award on those young people who follow in the
footsteps of the award’s namesake, are examples of love, faith, and virtue, and have provided outstanding service in youth ministry. Each parish is allowed to nominate one young person per year.
St. Timothy was a close companion of St. Paul, forsaking his country, house, and parents to share in the apostle’s poverty and sufferings until his death as a martyr at age 80.
Take time to share in the presence of Christ in adoration and honor Our Lady by participating in the Miraculous Medal Novena held on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in church.
The Parish Health Ministry sponsors an evening discussion on life-sustaining options for the elderly with guest speakers Sister Pat Codey, SC, Esq. and Deacon Patrick Brannigan on Monday, June 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Emmaus Center. The annual EAC Essay, Poster, Upcycled Item Contest for four to eighth graders tasked them to describe one small act they have done or can do to protect and respect our earthly home, God's creatures, or all people as children of God.
The EAC was impressed with all of the entries and congratulates all of the participants.

You Should Get Formed!
We are all aware of how simple it is to watch TV shows/movies with cable’s On Demand or Netflix. SML
parishioners are fortunate to have similar options with FORMED, a Catholic Faith-driven film service that
we get free by using the code ZZFDVV. Choose from serious topics on Marian dogmas to documen-
taries, such as one by internationally-acclaimed Christian singer/song-writer/Grammy Award nominee
Matt Maher, who shares the amazing story of his spiritual journey in That All May Be One, in which he
emphasizes the importance of forming relationships with others in order to be effective witnesses of the
Gospel. (You may have heard Redemption sing Matt Maher’s I Need You at 6:00 p.m. Mass.) One mem-
ber shared about this, “I don't usually sit still for 69 minutes for myself. I'm a mother to two boys (10 and
12) and this was the best thing I've done for myself--and my family in a long time.”
Father Victor U. of St. Bernadette Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida said of Matthew Leonard’s Immacu-
late Conception, “Little did I ever realize that the Dallas Cowboys or even the Boston Red Socks could
lead me to a better understanding of the Immaculate Conception! You're a master teacher, Matthew
Leonard!”
Share this Faith-based free movie/TV show database at home with your family. You will find such diverse
selections as My Path to Heaven to The Shroud of Turin to movies on the lives of many saints. The list is
endless and is surprising how much is available, not only as a learning tool, but also as valuable home
entertainment. Take advantage of our membership…visit the website…it won’t take but a minute to find
something that will grab your interest! Go to https://www.formed.org/content-list.
