Christ Revealed

God has given us the Bible to help us grow in our faith. From time to time, however, most of us realise that we cannot become mature in the Bible on our own, and we could do with some help!

The purpose of Sanderstead Bible Week is to help us understand the Bible better, so that its truths come alive for us, and we learn to be better disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Whether you are a ‘beginner Christian’ or have been a follower of Christ for many years, you will benefit from the talks. Bible Week was a great success in 2017 and 2018, and I’m sure it will be equally helpful in 2019.

We have a truly excellent programme of speakers and topics. Nick Lunn is coming to give the 3pm talks from the Old Testament on ‘Finding Jesus Christ in the Hebrew scriptures’. Centuries before the birth of Jesus, God had begun preparing for him to come. Nick is so knowledgeable about the Hebrew bible (the Old Testament) that he can explain its truths very clearly to those with less knowledge. He will show us how the Old Testament reveals Christ to us - today.

At 8pm each evening, different speakers will explore from the Bible some of the teachings that Jesus gave – ‘What Jesus Said’. The speakers come from the Baptist, Church of England and Vineyard Churches; it is great that Sanderstead Bible Week is supported by teachers from a variety of backgrounds.

Whether you have read the Bible for many years, or you feel you have hardly started, Sanderstead Bible Week is for you. Please do help us advertise it, by letting your friends and others in your churches know about it. If you have any questions, do let me know.

I look forward to seeing you.
