College of Pharmacy Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences Coimbatore-44 “AZAADI - 70: Independence Celebrations 2016 ” College of Pharmacy, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore had celebrated Azaadi -70, the 70 th year of Indian Independence from 13 th to 23 rd August, 2016. There were literary & cultural events had been conducted to mark the occasion and that included Pencil sketching competition, Elocution (English) competition, Essay writing (English) competition Patriotic group song competition and Quiz competition. The themes for all the competitions were related to the Indian independence. Prizes and certificates were given to the students who had secured a prize in the respective competitions and the details are as follows Patriotic Group Song Competition 1. First Prize: Ms. Priscella Mathew & Group (IV Pharm. D.,) 2. Second Prize: Ms. Srimathi S &Group (III Pharm. D.,) 3. Third Prize: Mr. Abhijath Murali & Group (V Pharm. D.,) Quiz Competition 1. First Prize: Ms. Rittumol Varghese & Group 2. Second Prize: Ms. Arya Raveendran & Group 3. Third Prize: Mr. Parsshava R Mehta & Group Pencil Sketching 1. First Prize: Ms. R .Auxi Arobana (III Pharm. Second Prize: Ms. Srimathi S (III Pharm. D.,) 3. Third Prize: Ms. Ms. Hiral R Mehta(II Pharm. D.,) Essay (English) Competition 1. First Prize: Ms. Kesar Shah (II Pharm. D.,) 2. Second Prize: Ms. Keziah Sara (II Pharm. D.,) 3. Third Prize: Ms. Nimitha Treas (III Pharm. D.,) On 15 th August, 2016 the flag hoisting ceremony was held in the college campus. Mrs. Swathi Rohit, Chief Business Officer, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, Coimbatore unfurled the tricolor flag and delivered her chief guest address. Dr. T. K Ravi, Principal, College of Pharmacy & Dr. Nirmala, Principal College of Nursing were also participated and delivered their Independence Day address.
