The Infant Jesus Homes and Children’s Centres (IJHCC) is a
registered charity organisation with IPC status. We are endorsed
by the Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore, a member
organisation of Caritas Singapore Community Council (CSCC)
and National Council of Social Services (NCSS).
The IJHCC serves children and youth from diverse racial groups
and religions. A caring environment with support that is
conducive to balanced growth and personal formation is
paramount in helping the children and youth grow in
motivation, maturity and confidence, to become positive,
independent and responsible adults in the future.
In addition, we continue to serve the few elderly ladies who
have been with us for many years.
For all under our care, we seek your much appreciated support.
About IJHCC
The Infant Jesus Homes and Children’s Centres (IJHCC) has evolved in the
last few years responding to the changing needs of our communities. In 2016, we
made significant progress to this end while continuing to uphold the mission of
the IJ Sisters, protecting and caring for children, youth and elderly in need.
The Student Care Centres in IJ Village and IJ Galilee have seen an increase in
student intake. With this significant increase in IJ Village, renovations were
undertaken to facilitate this growth. Child Development Officers (CDOs) were
also recruited in tandem with this.
The care of the elderly and respite care for teenage girls remain a vital part of our
service in IJHCC. In line with these objectives we have continued our
collaboration with Caritas Singapore as one of the 24 Catholic charities whose
work touches the lives of many in Singapore regardless of race, language or
religion.
For those entrusted to our care, we wish to provide a nurturing and happy
environment. We also aspire to instill in them the IJ Values of humility, compassion,
gratitude, kindness, mindfulness and grace. Above all is the constant reminder of
the dignity of an individual, as a giver as well as a recipient.
We wish to express our utmost appreciation and gratitude to various government
agencies, voluntary welfare organisations, schools, donors, sponsors and
volunteers in supporting IJHCC to serve the community.
As always, we continue to serve with dedication and humility as exemplified by
our motto:
“Simple Dans Ma Vertu, Forte Dans Mon Devoir”
God Bless,
Francis Yip

KidZania Outing
Teamwork, Patience and Confidence
The children visited Kidzania at Sentosa during the November school
holidays. Kidzania is an interactive indoor theme park providing fun and
learning through realistic role-play for children aged 4 to 17.
Through experiential exposure, children also learnt about different types
of careers. It was great fun!

Elderly Residential Care IJHCC continues to care for our elderly as the IJ sisters have done since 1854. These ladies were once received as babies at the Gate Of Hope (present day CHIJMES). They engage in various social activities to foster closer communal relationships, mutual support and active ageing.
