everlasting expression of gratitude to God.

Good People of Holy Cross, Someone has wisely said, “The most difficult decisions in life are not between what is right and what is wrong, but between what is good and what is best.” Ah, there is the rub, ~ How do we weigh life so wisely, deciding what is good, what is bad, what is best? Solomon turned to God and now gives us sage wisdom for our bad-good-best question. A life that is truly wise, as Solomon learned, is one that admits to God it’s great need for God’s wisdom, God’s way, God’s heart, God’s home. Life has priceless treasures all around us and invites us to believe God’s best is bringing good into being. Jesus unearths wisdom that has the power to make us soulfully rich. We are all in some sense the children of Solomon when, in the often confusing journey of life, we ask God to grant us wisdom to see, and a simple trust to believe that in all things, no matter what “it” may be, God is at work. Wealth is good, but wealth spent only on ourselves is not best. Influence can be good, but influence used to lift those beaten down by life’s brutality can be best, and holy. And yes, in more difficult moments, when we fall exhausted from our digging, tired from our searching, and weary from our fishing, God is always at work to bring us to God’s best. Keep being wise! Ahí está el dilema, ~ ¿Cómo pesamos la vida tan sabiamente, decidiendo qué es bueno, qué es malo, qué es lo mejor? Salomón se volvió hacia Dios y ahora nos da una sensata sabiduría para nuestra pregunta mala-buena-mejor. Una vida que es verdaderamente sabia, como lo aprendió Salomón, es una que admite a Dios, que tiene una gran necesidad de la sabiduría de Dios, el camino de Dios, el corazón de Dios, el hogar de Dios. La vida tiene tesoros invaluables a nuestro alrededor y nos invita a creer que lo mejor de Dios es traer el bien a la existencia. Compassionate and Loving Father,
In the face of confusion and concern
impart to us the calm of your presence.
In You allow us to find hope and healing.
Be with those who serve the sick and
give them Your caring hands.

give them Your Spirit of wisdom.
Be with those who have fallen ill and
give them Your comforting heart.
Wrap your arms around our world

to Jamaica, Haiti and also
distributed to Nursing homes
and Hospitals.
