If you havemorepeople, you might want to break up the main group into smaller subgroups.Encourage thosewho showup at the firstmeeting to commit to attending theduration of the study, as this will help the group members get to know eachother, create stability for the group, and help you know how to prepare eachweek.
Each of the sessions beginswith an opening reflection. The questions thatfollow in the “TalkAbout It” section serve as an icebreaker to get the groupmembersthinkingaboutthetopicathand.Somepeoplemaywanttotellalongstoryinresponsetooneofthesequestions, butthegoalis tokeeptheanswersbrief.Ideally,youwanteveryoneinthegrouptogetachancetoanswer,sotrytokeeptheresponsestoaminuteorless.Ifyouhavetalkativegroupmembers,sayupfrontthateveryoneneedstolimithisorheranswertooneminute.
