Description of the Activity Background:

To commemorate World Tuberculosis Day on March 24, and as one member

of the IPSF Asia Pacific regional, BEM KEMAFAR UNPAD is required to

implement this annual work program of IPSF. This progam is to inform people

about TBC and how to prevent them. This progam can also be a training tool

for the students as future pharmacists, to be able to deliver health

information to the people around them.

Aims:

To commemorate World Tuberculosis Day

To inform and raise awareness of people around, especially students of

Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), about tuberculosis (definition,

symptoms, prevention and treatment)

To raise funds to help patients who suffers tuberculosis for their

treatment

Methods and Used Tools / Materials:

Mini campaign (via pamphlets, online social media, and direct meetings)

Fund raising for charity (by selling foods and using charity box)

Results:

The campaign went well, a lot of students were interested and were asking

about the activity. The fund raising also went well, a lot of students bought

our foods and donated their money for the charity. Overall the activity was

quite success. The funds that has collected is about 1.5 million donated to

the poor patients with TB in the Hospital of Pulmonary Rotinsulu-bandung

March 12th : A meeting was held to discuss about TB day and fund raising concept

March 16th : Preparation of TB campaign

March 20th-22th : TB Campaign and fund rasing around Universitas Padjadjaran

Comments and/or Ideas Arising From the Activity Even though the preperation for TB Day was quite short, the result of the

activity was very well. Some people still have some respect about

tuberculosis. We hope that this campaign will increase the students

awareness for tuberculosis.
