Lee & Ko’s Anti-trust & Competition Practice Group consists of expert attorneys in anti-trust, renowned anti-trust specialists, and former high-ranking officials, staff attorneys, investigation experts and adjudication officers of the Korea Fair Trade Commission. With the addition of these new experts, Lee & Ko will continue to provide its clients with excellent and practical legal advice in this area of anti-trust and competition that is second to none. Below are brief introductions to Lee & Ko’s new members in its Anti-trust and Competition Practice Group. Anti-trust and Competition Practice Group of Lee & Ko has been ranked as the “Highly Recommended Law Firm” by Global Competition Review (2010). Lee & Ko was also selected as the “Leading Law Firm” by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2010/2011) and Chambers Asia (2010/2011) for its outstanding practice in the area of anti-trust and competition. Lee & Ko’s practice covers all areas related to anti-trust and competition including, among others, business combinations (M&As), cartel investigations, horizontal and vertical commercial agreements, abuse of market dominance, unfair trade practices, standardized contracts, subcontracting, compliance programs, sector-specific regulations, anti-trust and competition related disputes and KFTC investigations. Hwan Jeong, also an anti-trust expert lawyer, was a lecturer at the Seoul National University, College of Law, teaching Anti-trust and Competition courses, and was also the Counselor of the Fair Trade Commission and a Committee Member of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency. Min Ho Lee Lee is an anti-trust lawyer qualified in both Korean and New York and was the Director of the Litigation at the Fair Trade Commission for three years. He currently serves as one of the Steering Committee Members of the Seoul National University Center for Competition. Youngsook Na, a U.S.attorney (with LLM and JSD from Harvard University and Stanford University, respectively), was a former research fellow in the Anti-trust division of the Korean Supreme Court and possesses distinguished academic qualifications and practical experience in the anti-trust and fair trade area. Jung Hwan Lee is a U.S. attorney possessing a variety of experience and practice know-hows in the area of fair trade and anti-trust. Hwan Won Noh worked at the USA and Canada Division and the Europe Division of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and thereafter worked at the Fair Trade Commission for over ten years accumulating extensive experience in a variety of areas, such as general commercial transactions, subcontracting, competition policy, competition encouragement and consumer protection.
