the department. Departmental mentoring system is a individualized form of guidance and

counseling activities. Per year about 17-20% students are mentored by one mentor. They

maintain the biographic details of each individual , They use formal and informal means for all

round development of students.They help students to develop patience,insight,communication

skills and also rectify their personal problems. In four month internship they help interns to

improve their teaching skills.

between the students and the department. Each faculty member is the mentor of students and

perform the following functions- -Mentors are assigned to monitor and guide students all through

the two years -Mentors coordinate with the parents regarding the attendance & progress of the

students -Mentors also keep track of the students’ performance during the Concurrent Field

Work/ Internship by continuous interaction with the organization’s guide. -Mentors communicate

.The instruction are given to students for preparing notes .In some cases notes are provided by

the teacher after that question and answer round is performed, feedback is given by students.
