Tuesday, May 31, 2016 Dear Director, We would like to extend to you an invitation to participate in the 13th Annual Palmetto Ridge Marching Band Invitational, an FMBC Regional Event, to be held at Palmetto Ridge High School. Bands attending our festival will be able to qualify for the FMBC State Competition under the FMBC rules for qualification. Our Festival will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Participating bands will be classified according to the number of wind players in each band. The classifications will be as followed:
Class A (1-24 Winds) Class 2A 25-35 Winds) Class 3A (36-56 Winds) Class 4A (57-80 Winds) Class 5A (81 Winds and Higher)
All bands in attendance will receive a participation plaque. Trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each class. We will also award “Best in Class” in the following categories: music, visual, general effect, percussion, and auxiliary. There will also be trophies for 2nd Runner Up, 1st Runner Up, and Overall Grand Champion. The Central States Judges Association (CSJA) will provide our judges for the festival. All participating bands will receive written and audio comments from our judging panel, in addition to the opportunity to speak with the judges during critique. We hope that you will consider attending our festival. Please review the attached application form for more information. We are offering an early registration fee discount of $150 if you register by Monday, August 15, 2016. Otherwise, the registration fee is $200 and forms are due by Friday, October 7, 2016.
