ANNUAL NEWSLETTER 2015-2016 Sensational! 2016-2017 Even better! THEME FOR 2016-2017 FUN AND FRIENDSHIP! MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT It must be the middle of the summer-I see the Street & Smith College football magazine on my husband's desk. The anticipation of another football season is in the air. This past year, football was a focus for some of our chapter activities-the September tail gate party at the Okatie Ale House, meeting Jon Brown from the Nittany Lion Club, sponsoring a bus trip to the Taxslayer Bowl game in Jacksonville, and highlighting the year by showing the documentary "The Joe We Know" at our annual Luncheon. The film was powerful! Powerful because the message "student first, athlete second, and always with Honor" was emphasized by every player in the film. Most of us were not student athletes, but those standards were ingrained in all of us-I don't know how, but it was. It makes us all very proud of our degree(s), our University's accomplishments, our graduation
