“In some ways it has been a crucible time, but the opportunity to get to grips with prayer, discernment and waiting on God has been the gold.”

• running the 2011 annual prayer weekend for first year ordinands and their spouses at All Hallows, Ditchlingham. The weekend is a crucial element of community and spiritual formation, and costs £8,000–£9,000 every year

• repairing the chapel bell-tower for the first time for over 120 years, enabling us to preserve the wood, which was rotting, and replace corroded lead

• improving the College’s energy efficiency by installing secondary double glazing, repairing broken windows, and upgrading the heating

• upgrading the bedding in student accommodation

• making health and safety improvements to the library area
