ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT REPORT-2019-20

Guru Rabindranath Tagore Activities-
1. VALUE BASED RALLY - There is a lot of importance of values in one’s life and The
Aditya Birla group has always been active towards this thinking. The core values of the
Aditya Birla group guide the students to success and nurture the institutions Keeping the
same in the mind, the HR team of Ultratech group, Sidhi organised a rally The students of
SPUMV actively participated in the rally. Students moved with banners, posters and
slogans through the roads of the colony, spreading awareness for these values among the
people .The children also performed a street play with reference to the same. The HR-
HOD Mr. Sanjeev Rajput was present there.
2. EXCURSION TRIP OF TEACHERS- An Excursion is not only a relief from the heavily
loaded timetable of a person, but also a grand entrance for happiness, peace, co-
operation and enhancement of team spirit. After the annual examinations of students of
SPUMV and the permission of the school committee, the SPUMV staff went out for a
picnic to Dharkundi ashram which is about 100 kms away from the school campus. Away
from the rush of the city, Dharkundi is present between beautiful valleys. It is a place
which is full of spectacular landscapes. Watching the lifestyle of the saints was
unforgettable for the teachers. The teachers visited the library and the holy ’kund’ and
their level of enjoyment touched no limits. Later the trip was further extended to
Birsinghpur Shivji Temple and Basavan Mama where the teachers took pleasure of
watching the beautiful river and visited the holy temple of lord Shiva. The food was cooked
by the teachers themselves. In this way the trip ended successfully with a smile on the
face of each and every teacher.
3. VALUE BASED TRAINING IN ALL CLASSES- Values are really important in everyone’s
life. There is a saying that without values life is not of any use. A life based on values is
responsible not only for personal success but also building a well enough reputation in the
society. If education related to the same is given in a specialized way to the students in
the beginning of the session only then it will work as a great foundation. With the same
aim, on 12.04.2019, workshop was arranged for the students of various classes. In this
workshop the children were made aware related to the importance of values in their life.
The students listened patiently and at the end, enthusiastically came up with innovative
questions. The resource person for the workshop was the English Mr.Vashisht Dwivedi
who answered the excitement of the students.
4. PERSONALITY MEET- SPUMV came up with the idea of letting the students meet the
various people from various fields and areas of the society. Students of class class 9th and
11th visited the nearby place Pipraon on 2nd April to see how the potters work .Having
reached the place , the students first of all , presented Mr. Kaddu Prajapati with flowers
and fruits and He gifted many items to the students Reaching the place the students
interacted with the potters and asked them about their lifestyle and problems faced by
them economically, socially and mentally .The students met Mr.Kaddu Prajapati ,and saw
him making pots and decorating them. When a few students asked to try it out
themselves, they were given a chance along with proper guidance. The potter made
various kinds of toys, pots, lamps and decorative items and taught the students as well of
how to make them.
5. FIRE SAFETY TRAINING- To make the students aware of various accidents and also
how to save themselves from the same. SPUMV has always been active towards this
thinking. In the same sequence, as per the directions of Ultratech cement, Aditya Vihar ,
the school arranged a fire safety programme for the students. In this training session the
students of classes 6th to 12th participated. Mr. Mayur Sindupe made the students aware
related to the same .He told the students about uses of various kinds of extinguishers and
various types of fires and fire related hazards. His team demonstrated these practically
and then asked the students to try it out themselves. Mr.K.K.Mishra, Section Head of
Safety, asked the question based on fire safety and winner was rewarded by gift. Children
also took part in the demonstration. This way the children learned new things and got
aware of the importance of safety in one’s life. The zeal of the students in the program
was spectacular.
6. PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP-Characteristics and traits are something
that has a great role in one’s life and if this teaching is kept in the minds of students from
their childhood then it is very difficult to distract them from the route of success. The
Aditya Birla group has always been active towards this thinking and has established many
important values as well. SPUMV always tries to inculcate these values in the students.
Related to the same , on 12.04.2019, a workshop was arranged for the students to teach
them about the same important values. The resource person of the program was Mr. B.P
Dwivedi from the English department. With the help of slides, poems and stories, he
perfectly coordinated with the students and gave them important knowledge related to the
values. The students enthusiastically asked many questions and were answered
accordingly. Children participated with a lot of zeal in the program
7. BAISAKHI CELEBRATION
Most of the festivals of India are associated with ripening of the crops. One of these
famous festivals is Baisakhi, which is not only celebrated in Punjab but all over the country
with full enthusiasm.
With relation to the same a special assembly was arranged by the students in order to
increase the joy of the festival. In this assembly the students presented their creative sides
by coming up with thoughts, articles , poems and one act plays. In the one-act play, the
story of guru gobind singh was presented, enlightening the thoughts about social
conditions. Ayush Tiwari recited a poem related to the same. And Khushi presented a
small speech related to the incidents that have taken place on this day. Later the students
of class 12th presented Bhangra with full energy. The whole school danced to eat of the
song and every one was impressed. Principal Dr. Brajesh Kumar Singh expressed his
ideas with the help of various examples and told them that religion should not divide but
unite us.
8. RAM NAVAMI CELEBRATION- The festival of Ramnavami is one of the important
festivals celebrated in the beginning of the new festive calendar of the hindus. The festival
is celebrated with great zeal all over the country. The SPUMV organised a special
assembly for the same. Students emphasised on the importance of the festival with the
help of various thoughts and articles. Students presented an emotional extract from the
Ram charit manas. Whole school celebrated the festive occasion with joy and the whole
environment grew cheerful.
9. On 06.07.2019, the new Unit Head of UTCL, Sidhi Mr.Bhanu Prakash Singh was
welcomed by SPUMV. On this occasion a short & sweet cultural program was organised.
All the Functional Heads were present during the program.
10. On the special and auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima on 16.08.19, a special assembly was organised. Teachers were respected by putting tilak on their forehead.
11. On 27.08.19, the Death Anniversary of Dr.A.P.J.Kalam was observed with a
small show of his great works and his contribution in literature work as well as for his
nation. Teachers & students expressed their thoughts about him.
12. On 19.08.19, SPUMV celebrated its investiture ceremony. Unit Head, UTCL,
Mr.Bhanu Prakash Singh made the students pledge for responsibility & diligence.
13. On the Birth anniversary of Shri Munshi Premchand (31.07.19) , a special assembly
was organised. During this celebration, teacher & students expressed their visions &
ideas. Movies and short films with reference to his stories were shown to the children.
14. Inter house Rakhi making competition was organised on 03.08.19. 6 students from
each house participated enthusiastically. Students displayed their creativity by making
magnificent rakhis.
15. On 10.08.19 inter house debate competition was organised for students. Students
were divided into 2 divisions- classes 6 to 8 and classes 9 to 12. Four students from each
houses displayed their creative skill.
16. SPUMV, Sidhi was celebrated as Independence Day with great zeal & enthusiasm.
After the flag hoisting in the central green park, JJS & SPUMV presented a combined
show including great effort & support from the teachers. Mr.R.K.Verma, FH
(Technical),UTCL, was the chief guest from the program. Students from JJS & SPUMV
together came up with a great show.
17. Tulsi Das Jayanti- On 07.08.19 SPUMV celebrated Tulasi Jayanti. On this day a
special assembly was organised. Students presented a skit on this occasion.
18. Essay Writing Competition- On 19th August 2019 students participated in inter
house Eassay Writing Competition organised.
19. Khel Diwas- On the occasion of National Sports Day (29th August) a small
cultural programme orgainsed in the assembly. In this Mrs.Poonam Gupta was the
chief guest.
20. Inauguration of Raja Ram Mohun Roy Library- On 29.08.19 the Raja Ram
Mohun Roy Library was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mrs.Poonam Gupta.
21. SPUMV cultural night in Aditya Vihar- 04.09.19On the occasion of Ganesh
Chaturthi a cultural evening was organised in the colony by the students of SPUMV.
The audience loved the program.
22. Teachers Day Celebration-the students dressed up as teachers and
presented them with flowers and gifts. Thoughts of Sri S RadhaKrishnan were also
presented.

23. Inter House Slogan Competition-On 07.09.19 an inter house slogan
competition were organised on the topic Save Environment.
24. Rajbhasha Diwas (Hindi Diwas)-On 14 sep.2019 Hindi Diwas organised in
SPUMV. It consisted of a skit on the topic Andher Nagari. There where Speeches
and Dance too.
25. Inter House Craft Competition-On 21.09.19 inter house Craft Competition was
organised in which the students participated with lot of interest.
26. Mass Swachchata Abhiyan & Nukkad Natak in nearby villages-On 26th to 29th
September 2019 street play were conducted in nearby villages like pipraon,
baghwar etc. Students & teachers cleaned the nearby areas.
27. Gandhi Jayanti Celebration in SPUMV, Sidhi -The 150th Gandhi Jayanti was
celebrated was celebrated with enthusiasm. The programme started with street play
in the colony. Then the rally was flagged off by Chief Guest Unit Head of UTCL,Sidhi
Mr.Bhanu Prakash Singh. It was an unmemorable scene to see 150 students
dressed up as Bapu in the rally.
After this Bhajan recital was organised followed by skit, speech and drawing
competition. After this students & teacher cleaned the nearby villages & spread
awareness related to the clean India campaign through street play.
28. ALUMNI DAY CELEBRATION- On 14 November ABHSS celebrated their Alumni
Day. On this occasion 17 alumni revisited the school. Cultural programme were presented
here. School presented a small token of love in the form of special mementos. Students
shared their views and achievments.On this auspicious occasion Mr.Dinesh Khatri (FH-
TPP) and Mr.Pratyendra Upadhyay (FH-Mines) felicitated the alumni.
29. GLOBAL HANDWASHDAY( 15.11.2019) –D
Dr. Tirumalai have advised the students to wash hands carefully.
30. Constitution Day- On 26 November, ABHSS celebrated Constitution Day. Special Assembly
took place. Mr.S.L.Kacher sir threw light on the importance of Samvidhan
and how the Indian constitution was established. In this assembly a quiz was
conducted. Principal Dr.Brajesh Kumar Singh said in his speech that the
constitution is the soul of India. We must avoid all the differences between
us.
31. Cyber World- On 28 Nov ABHSS organised special assembly on Cyber
World. This world is truly based on computers. Students are very fond
about mobiles and internet. But they misuse it and get in trouble. Many
accidents have happened due to this. On 28 November a special
assembly was organised on this topic. Mr.Sushanto Mukherjee, IT head of
UTCL, Sidhi was special speaker on this occasion. He explained the
disadvantage of social media and told the audience how to use safe
surfing. He told about hacking and fishing also.
32. Annual Day- On 30th November ABHSS Celebrated Annual Day with great zeal. The
Chief Guest was Mr.Bhanu Prakash Singh, Unit Head,UTCL,Sidhi who
inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The theme of this
programme was ‘Heritage & Culture’. Many dances like
Chattisgarhi, Punjabi, Raas, Katthak, Bhojpuri etc and some skits and
Kavvali were also presented in relation to this topic. Students were
felicitated by the guest for their achievements. All FH’s and surrounding
dignitaries are present.
33. CAREER COUNSELLING (26.11.2019) = -Th
The workshop was conducted by CSR,UTCL in which from ITI and nearby villages around
110 participants attended.
34. Fire Safety Training- On 04.12.2019 school organized fire safety training for the students
and staff.
35. 17.12.2019 – (Workshop on Girls safety)- In this program police officer
Ms. Ankita Mishra address the girls students and told them many security
measures. Also tell the quality of moving forward in life.
36. (16.12.2019) DRAWING COMPETITION BY MINES DEPARTMENT-Around 120
students participated in this competition. The topic was Environment Conservation.
37. (20.12.2020) MINES DAY CELEBRATION- UTCL, Baghwar organized mines
day, in which our students presented cultural programs.
38. (21.12.2020) SCIENCE EXHIBITION-House wise science exhibition organized.
Four houses of ABHSS participated in this exhibition.
39. CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION-The ABHSS celebrated Christmas with
great zeal. A splendid assembly was organized and Students and teachers were
participated with great enthusiastic.
40. (04.01.2020) TEACHERS TRAINING ON CLASS MANAGEMENT-Training is
necessary for the teachers, so that they are kept updated. For this purpose, this
workshop was organized, in which all the teachers participated.
41. (10.01.2020) WORLD HINDI DIWAS– It was celebrated in SPUMV on 10-01-2020.The
principal of SPUMV , Dr. Brajesh Kumar Singh addressed the students related to the
importance and significance to the students. Inspirational stories were shared
.There was an active discussion among the teachers. Hindi is a beautiful language
and we all should be proud of it. Two famous poet of Sidhi district and some
students as well teachers performed their poems on stage and it was appreciated
by everyone.
42. Swami Vivekanada Jayanti Celebration-On 12 January, the Birth Day of
Swami Vivekananda Ji, ABHSS conducted mass Surya Namaskar.
43. Drawing Competition on Safety-On 13th January the School participated
in drawing competition which was organised by Mines Department and
total 9 students received prize.
44. Mass Eye Checkup Camp- On 16th and 17th October Aditya Hospital
Organised Mass Eye Check-up Camp in school premises and total 685
students were checked by the renowned government doctors.
45. Anubhuti Program-This environment awareness program had been
organised by M.P.Forest Department. This Picnic based program which
ended with a quiz and other competitions. Four of our students won the
first prize.
46. Pareeksha Pe charcha-On 20th January students listened to the tips on
examinations by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
47. Mines Safety Week Celebration- UTCL, AV, sidhi celebrated mines
safety week.On 21st January ABHSS, AV, Sidhi students presented
Cultural Events.
48. Republic Day Celebration-ABHSS celebrated Republic Day with great
zeal and enthusiasm. Mr.Bhanu Prakash Singh was the chief guest of
the day. Students presented variety of cultural programs.
49. NUKKAD NATAK ON SAFETY ( 03.02.2020)-Through Nukkad Natak, the
children suggested employees of the company and the people around them to
adopt a safety mantra to avoid accident.
50. COVID-19-AWARNESS PROGRAM- BY DR.SAPNA PACHOREE-
The ABHSS arranged their assembly to alert the children to the this worldwide
epidemic. It also organized a separate workshop to be alert to the disease. In this
CMO Aditya Hospital Dr. Sapna Pachoree gave many suggestions to the children.
51. WORKSHOP ON ADOLENCES (15.02.2020)-BY ANUPAM NGO TEAM SATNA.-
A NGO ANUPAMA team came from Satna and they take workshop on indolence. All
girls from 4th class to 11th class were present there.
52. FAREWELL OF 12TH CLASS STUDENTS-(19.02.2020)-Organized a program of
farewell for 12th class students. There students presented their talents and
memories with ABHSS.
53. VALUE BASED RALLY BY ADMIN TEAM (29.02.2020)-Our band group
participated in value based rally organized by admin team of UTCL.
Achievments- (Sports & Academics)
1. CSR AWARD- ABHSS (SPUMV) has always been working for the welfare of poor
and needy students. It always has been promoting the thinking that needy students
should also be given chance in this competitive society to come up and gain
confidence in them. The school provides education at a subsidy of rupees 5802 on
every child. This results in a total sum of a subsidy of rupees 34 lakh per annum.
This school , working under the csr department of Ultratech Cement , Sidhi,
provides education to every student at rupees 5 per day.
‘EDUCATION RUPEES FIVE- QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ECONOMICALLY
DISADVANTAGE’ in Sardar Patel Uchchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya,Aditya Vihar,Sidhi - was
the topic for a competition over india and CSR,UTCL got the Award for the same on 1
April, 2019 in Mumbai. On the same venue the CSR got the price of a trophy and a
certificate and Mr. Abhishek Saha collected the price. Ultratech , sidhi congratulated the
school UTCL and CSR for this great achievement.
2. Two students of SPUMV, Rishabh Pandey and Sarvesh Tiwari, got the 2nd and 3rd position in National Level Yoga Competetion (Open) held in Bihar. The teacher who escorted them is PTI Mr.Prakash Prajapati (National Taekwando Player) on 6th June.19.
3. Block level indoor events were organised in the school on 02.08.19. Out of these 24 Students were selected & then 14 students out of these went to represent themselves in District level competitions of various games.
4. Block Level Sports Competition organised in SPUMV-3-4Sep-19 Block level sports
competition, including shot put and other games, was organised in SPUMV in which
the students from many schools came to participate.
5. Raja Ram Mohun Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata has donated about 1000 (One
thousand) books in free, after long correspondence, to SPUMV. The cost of these books
is about 4,59,000/- (Four lakhs fifty nine thousand). It contains 500 Hindi books and
another 500 books of English.
6. Total 60 students participated in District level of sports competition and 28 students
participated in Division Level of sports competition. In which 5 Students
participated in State Level of Taekwondo Competition.
7. Special Achievement (In sports)- In the 65th taekwondo competition Master Deepesh
Shukla of SPUMV, after giving a brilliant presentation, secured 3rd position. 4
students from SPUMV, Aditya Vihar participated in this event.
8. Indo Nepal International Pacific Game-2019- 5 students from ABHSS, UTCL, Sidhi participated in the 'Indo-Nepal International Pacific Games-2019' at Pokhra, Nepal on 08.12.2019. These five students are Deepesh Shukla, Rishabh Pandey, Sarvesh Tiwari , Rashmi Kushwaha, Anurag Pandey. These students participated in Taekwondo, Yoga & Badminton competition. In this
competition ABHSS won 3 Gold and 2 Silver medals. Along with this the school also received the Best Performance Trophy. Mr. Prakash Prajapati was the coach of this team.
9. Division Level Open Taekwondo Championship- On 20th Nov 20 Students Of ABHSS
and 2 students of JJS participated in Division Level of Open Taekwondo Championship.
Total 9 Students got Gold Medal in this event and they were qualified for the state level
competition, which will be held in the month of December. Their Coach was Mr.Prakash
Prajapati (PTI, ABHSS)
10.Felicitation in International Film Festival, Sidhi- The Victorious team of
ABHSS,AV were honoured by Mr.Akhilendra Mishra (Famous Film Actor) in
International Film Festival, Sidhi.
EXECPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT-
Four students of ABHSS were felicitated in District award ceremony on the
occasion of Republic Day. These four students were winner of the Indo ‘Nepal
Pacific Games’. The students were given awards by the State Panchayat
Minister Mr.Kamleshwar Patel.
Other-
1. Last years Board result was very good and hopefully this time will be better.
2. The painting (Whitewash) of the exterior of the school is near to complete.
3. Some other works have been completed-
a. 17 fans in assembly hall.
b. New Desks for 2 classes.
c. 2 New Book shelve Almirah provided by UTCL.
d. 32 Chairs for teaches.
e. 2 AC.
f. Reconstruction of Girls Toilet.
g. 6 Green Boards provided by UTCL.
h. New sound system included 2 sounde boxes, 4 mike, advance podium, Mixer,
mike stand etc.
i. SCHOOL NAME HAS BEEN CHANGED. INSTEAD OF SPUMV, NOW IT IS ADITYA
BIRLA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL.
Salary-
SMS has approved 154% new DA for ABHSS staff. In this, right now teachers are getting
50% DA. From the coming July 2020 next 50% or 104% increased DA will get.
