Healing Ministry Care ministers are stationed at the rear of the
sanctuary during Holy Communion today to offer a blessing to anyone
who desires anointing and prayer for a health or personal
concern. Blessings are available while seated in the pew for
those with mobility concerns. Please let an usher know of your
need.
“God’s Glory Is Our Joy” 2019 Photo Contest Calling all
photographers! Once again, we are looking for photos that will take
your breath away with God’s glory, goodness and love touching
lives, and revealing His awesome majesty and grace. All original
photos are welcome – from vacation adventures to special moments on
holidays or ordinary days. Please limit your submission to 5 photos
per person in .jpg or another digital format. Deadline to submit is

NAMI Parent Support Group
Thursday, September 5 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
All parents of children and young adults living with mental
illness are welcome to come on the first and third Thursdays of the
month to share experiences and encourage one another. Facilitated
by members Tamara & Michael Arsenault, supported by the
Montgomery County Chapter of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental

1 Peter: A Living Hope in Christ Mondays at 7:00 pm
OR Wednesdays at 9:30 am Join sisters in Christ for this
9-session study of 1 Peter with video teaching by Jen Wilkin.
Our
inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and
unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws with eyewitness to
the life of Christ challenges us to look
beyond our current circumstances to a future of promise. What
could be more relevant to life today? Wednesday sessions begin on

available on Wednesdays with a reservation. Monday sessions begin

Adult/Child CPR & AED Training
Sunday, September 15 from 12:30-4:00 pm CPR is a skill that
everyone should know. Recommended techniques have changed in recent
years. Come for the first-time or get a refresher. You
never know when it might help you save a life! Space is limited.

Senior Adult Fellowship
A Chat with Pastor Nick & Appetizer Potluck

We gladly welcomed Pastor Nick into our congregation, and he has
already inspired us with his sermons! Now, let’s get to know him
better as we join him for a chat about his faith, family and
journey to St. Andrew. We will have the opportunity to ask him
questions – and he might have some questions for us, too!
Afterward, we’ll enjoy an appetizer potluck lunch. Bring your

Children’s Choir Rehearsals Begin Next Sunday, September 8
10:30 am – 11:15 am We are excited for another great year in
Children’s Choir at St. Andrew! The choir is open to all children
grades 2 through 6. Come visit a rehearsal and have fun making
music with us! Kids sing in worship about once each month. If your

Creative Spirits Meeting Saturday, September 14

Wellness ministry that offers participants the opportunity to

Bethania Kids
“Tour of Love” Visit & Luncheon September 29-30
Founded by Lutheran missionaries in 1987, Bethania Kids in India
serves over 900 children, women and families in need, sharing the
love of Christ along with hope and the opportunity for a better
life. On September 29-30, Josephine Selvam will visit from India to
share about the mission and needs of the ministry during worship,
in the Commons between services, and at a luncheon following the
11:00 service.
You can help! Attend the luncheon, donate to the cause, bid on
Silent Auction offerings of a week at a Bethany Beach house and/or
a Pennsylvania mountain house, and sponsor a child to have a
lasting impact for Christ! Luncheon tickets go on sale in the
Commons and online September 8. The menu will feature light Indian
delicacies, plus options for children. The cost is $10 per adult
and $5 per child in advance, and $12 at the door. Questions?

New! WEDNESDAY NIGHTS, starting September 11, we’ll be gathering
from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. The first hour will give people the chance to
show up, maybe do some homework, open gym, or just hang out
together. At 7:30 pm, we’ll gather downstairs for worship and Bible
