Responsive Call To Worship Elder Suzanne MericalPsalm 146:1-5, 10

Leader: Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!People: I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God

all my life long.Leader: Do not put your trust in princes, in mortals, in whom there is no help.People: When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day

their plans perish.Leader: Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in

the Lord their God,People: The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations.

Praise the Lord!Invocation Elder Suzanne Merical †Opening Hymn #322 When Morning Gilds the Skies

When morning gilds the skies, My heart awaking cries, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Alike at work and prayer To Jesus I repair, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Does sadness fill my mind? A solace here I find, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Or fades my earthly bliss? My comfort still is this, May Jesus Christ be praised!

The night becomes as day When from the heart we say, May Jesus Christ be praised!

The powers of darkness fear When this sweet chant they hear, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Ye nations of mankind In this your oneness find, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Let all the earth around Ring joyous with the sound, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this, while life is mine, My canticle divine, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Be this th’eternal song Through all the ages long, May Jesus Christ be praised!

Avoiding the Guilt Trip!†Closing Hymn #659 We’ve a Story to Tell to the Nations

We’ve a story to tell to the nations That shall turn their hearts to the right,

A story of truth and mercy, A story of peace and light, A story of peace and light.

Chorus: For the darkness shall turn to dawning

And the dawning to noonday bright And Christ’s great kingdom shall come to earth

The kingdom of love and lightWe’ve a song to be sung to the nations That shall lift their hearts to the Lord,

A song that shall conquer evil And shatter the spear and sword,

And shatter the spear and sword. (Chorus)We’ve a message to give to the nations

That the Lord who reigneth above Hath sent us His Son to save us And show us that God is love,

And show us that God is love. (Chorus)We’ve a Savior to show to the nations

Who the path of sorrow hath trod That all of the world’s great peoples

Might come to the truth of God, Might come to the truth of God. (Chorus)
