Small Group Gatherings – Are you missing getting to know fellow

church members? While social- distancing is requiring us to be apart physically it should not keep us apart emotionally or spiritually. The

Deacons are eager to help keep our church family stay connected and have decided to facilitate virtual small group gatherings to provide support, promote connection, and nurture spiritual growth.

To kick things off, beginning in June we would like to start three small group virtual gatherings: 1. Adult Christian Education Group 2. Mental Health Group 3. 20 and 30 Somethings Group

If you might be interested in participating in any of these groups, please contact [email protected]. We will organize the topics and schedules based on level of interest. Have an idea for a small group topic or interested in facilitating a small group? Please let us know.

Caring Callers and Errand Runners – Do you know someone that may need help during

these challenging times with picking up groceries, medications or could just use a friendly phone call? There is a team of folks ready and willing to help out when needed. Please notify the church office at mailto:[email protected] or [email protected].

Mission & Action – Items Needed

Please support the Brookline Food Pantry by dropping off the following food items in the

plastic container at the handicap entrance to the church. Items needed include: Pasta / Sauces / Rice, Condiments, Canned Vegetables, Soups, Dry Goods / Baking Supplies, Snacks, Canned Fruit, Proteins / Beans.

New Request! Baby Formula is needed for the Brookline Food Pantry.

Food and Heat Assistance Do you know of anyone needing assistance in paying for food, heat or hot water (oil, kerosene or propane)? If so, please ask them to contact Karen Marino at 603-475-3073 or [email protected]

Diapers, Diapers, and More Diapers! Please help us collect diapers sizes 4,5 & 6 for Marguerite’s Place, the Nashua Soup Kitchen, and Bridges. There is a constant need for our youngest community members! Whenever you can, pick up diapers and we will distribute them to these grateful organizations!

Everyone is invited to participate in the Hygiene Kit project. We welcome donations of complete kits.* Donations may be marked Hygiene Kit and dropped in the

collection box outside the front handicapped entrance through the end of May.

*Each kit contains these items: nail clipper, wash cloth, bath-size bar of soap (in wrapper), toothbrush (in original package), 10 Band-Aids, wide tooth comb, hand towel (no kitchen towels or micro-fiber).

NOTE: For any items being dropped off or picked up at church, please use the plastic bins outside of the handicapped entrance.

Christmas Fair Update - The Christmas Fair Chairs have met and decided that we will make a decision in September

regarding the 2020 Christmas Fair. There are so many variables at this point that we felt

waiting was the best decision. In the event that we are unable to have an in person fair, we

have discussed other ideas about what we could do by having a virtual fair of some sorts. We

would welcome any suggestions/thoughts any of you may want to share by emailing

[email protected]. Stay tuned!

Zoom 5.0 Upgrade

Important Notice: All of us using Zoom are using the Zoom “client” and you’re are likely currently using version 4.6.

Please consider upgrading to Zoom 5.0 now. After May 30, 2020, all Zoom clients on older versions will receive a forced

upgrade when trying to join meetings. If you wait, the upgrade will happen automatically when you try to join a meeting

after May 30th but it may briefly delay the joining of that meeting.

To upgrade your Zoom:

1. Go to https://zoom.us/download and click on “Download” under the Zoom Client for Meetings:

2. The Zoominstaller.exe will download and run. Your device may ask if it’s OK to open and run this installer. If so,

say “Yes”. The install takes a couple of minutes to complete.

3. Once the installation is complete, if you open your Zoom client (which you don’t have to do until the next

meeting if you don’t want), you’ll notice the version number at the bottom of the Zoom window will now be

Version 5.0.2.

If you need assistance with zoom, please don’t hesitate to reach out by contacting [email protected]. For those just looking for a “cheat sheet” of instructions to teach yourself, go to https://hollischurch.org/zoom-help/.
