Brothers and Sisters. I want to say how much I enjoyed Sunday evenings “Interactive Bible Class!” For me it was just plain fun. Thank you for your participa-tion, especially Adrian’s insightful commentary on the Abrahamic landscape. His having been there presents us with valuable information as we walk through the Patriarch’s life together. Thanks for gathering up in the middle section of the assembly hall. It helped a lot. Beyond that we learn a very important lesson from Abraham’s journey. Reality is redefined by the word. Too often we become blinded by present reality in time and space. Life is about this life. Focus is set on today and dreams for tomorrow. Time is filled with busy sometimes hectic life. Often we respond to the happenings of today and live as if that is what life is about. The Bible opens our horizons to spiritual reality which runs in parallel to time and space. The bottom line is that God is at work doing “immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine.” Imagination (eyes of faith) see more than today or dreams of tomorrow. Faith becomes a real aspect of reality. As we do our part in time and space there exists the reality, produced by faith, that there is much more going on. Belief, real belief, produces this in our lives. Paul says “we walk by faith and not by sight, “...set your mind on things that are above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God,”...”things that are

seen are temporary but things that are unseen are eternal.” That is what faith is. Faith is not perfection, but trust in God, not matter what is going on in time and space. This is what we must believe. As we move forward this faith must be applied in time and space. If the Father is to do his work with us we must em-brace His activity. This will give us hope as we move forward. Thanks again for the nice evening. Foree

I have noticed many comments on Facebook that end with “God is good.” The final comment always seems to follow good news, an unexpected blessing, or an expres-sion of joy.
I have a new job! - God is good.
Our daughter had a baby; we’re grandparents! - God is good.
Our son graduated. - God is good.
Dad is back home from the hospital. - God is good.
The tests for cancer came back ‘negative’. - God is good.
These are wonderful expressions, but have we slipped into a “God is good…because of…” kind of thinking. God’s goodness based only on favorable outcomes in our lives?
What about these:
I got up on the wrong side of the bed and am having a terri-ble day - but God is still good.
The flooding destroyed my home - but God is still good.
I ‘totaled’ my car - but God is still good.
Best friend died last night - but God is still good.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his
purpose.” Romans 8:28
